Don’t look at someone else and say “wow! they have great faith, I cannot do or say what they do or say”
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
You can do the works of Jesus and even greater works than he did!
Do you know what hurdles people have to cross, naturally and spiritually before they are able to exercise what appears to be “great” faith in most people’s eyes? Are you willing to pay the price of taking time out for God in ways which can allow Him to mold you to a place of doing great works for him? Then you too can live a life doing great works for him with the measure of faith you have.
Our loving God of relationship is simply seeking people who surrender their lives to Him so that He can use them for His glory. At the same time He promises to bless them. In Hebrews 11:6 we read that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Such people are men and women of faith who do not only believe in what He, a rewarder will give them but they “believe that He is”, in other words, they believe that He is the great “I Am”, the Almighty God who exists!

Every believer starts with a measure of faith in God when they are first saved. Again in Hebrews 11:6 we read “Without faith it is impossible to please God” The measure of faith is not quantified in Hebrews 11:6, so this means any measure of faith you and I have is enough to please God. This is one of the many examples of how the merciful God we serve makes it easy for us to come to Him as well as serve Him. Any measure of faith will do! Even faith as small as a mustard seed. “And Jesus said unto them, …If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (Matt. 17:20)
With the measure of faith as small as a mustard seed some people deem insignificant, Jesus said we can do great things or “command a mountain to move”, why? Because as believers in him we have the Holy Spirit, the power of God in dwelling us so that we can fulfill His purpose; this is no small thing! (Phil. 2:13/Eph. 3:20).
When we meditate on what Jesus actually meant by our ability to command a mountain to move with our “mustard seed” faith, the following comes to mind: We are able to
When we meditate on what Jesus actually meant by our ability to command a mountain to move with our “mustard seed” faith, the following comes to mind: We are able to
1. Exercise our authority which is our God given inheritance as believers in Christ. (Luke 10:18-19/Mark 16:15-17)
2. Overcome what is impossible to man but possible to God because of His power, the life of God at work in us. (Matt. 19:25-26/Romans 8:11/Eph. 3:20)
In our personal lives and for the sake of others we are able to
3. Overcome satanic attack, bondage and oppression.
4. Decree a thing and see it come to pass, thus being God’s instrument to counteract and thwart demonic assignments or plans (Psalm 33:10-12).
Indeed in God’s eyes every measure of faith, when “planted” in service is capable of germinating a huge harvest to glorify him in ways even beyond our imagination.
Father, thank you that you make it so easy for us to come to you and to serve you. No measure of faith is too small in your eyes, you are just thrilled that we choose to surrender to you in intimacy and service, trusting that you will give the increase to the glory of your Most High Name”
