11th Feb. 2017 Seminar in London – In Full Bloom Motivational Exercise: Purpose & testimonials

What is this exercise about & its purpose?
It’s worth is confirmed by testimonials (see towards the end)

It will be used at ARISE & SHINE Prophetic Seminar on 11th Feb. 2017 at 9-1.30pm, City Temple Church, London Holborn Viaduct EC1A 2DE not to be missed!!

A seminar combining prophecy, teaching & motivational training. Produced by God given inspiration by Prophetess & teacher Deborah Nyamekye the exercise was tried and tested successfully at the seminar entitled “Rise-up! Thou Anointed & Favoured of God” on 2nd July. Blessed Testimonials can be read below and also found on home page of website http://www.bearwitness-forerunner.org.

Deborah, Seminar host says ”

“This God inspired exercise I produced is a powerful inspirational prophetic tool to enable a pair to help each other effectively match their gifts, talents and skills with the most appropriate or suitable career, church ministry or volunteer work pathways for them. Individuals are awakened to the fullness of their God given capabilities as never before and are encouraged to pursue goals that encourage them to utilise their capabilities to the maximum.

Each person is encouraged through the exercise to use their gifts of discernment/intuition, wisdom, knowledge and prophecy with the person they are paired with. They will be surprised at how God can use them for others in this type of exercise more than they ever thought. They may also discover God given gifts which have lain dormant or they did not know were there”.
Be sure to register for £20 (early bird until 25th Jan is £15) at website http://www.bearwitness-forerunner.org to secure your place at this life changing seminar.

1.WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE IN FULL BLOOM MOTIVATIONAL EXERCISE ?

The purpose is to enable individuals to
-see what they had to offer in the way of gifts, skills and talents in a more positive way (i.e their worth and relevance) than they had before the exercise.

-realise that what they had to offer (i.e. gifts, talents and skills) could be utilised in ways (possible careers, volunteer work/ministry or hobbies) they had not even thought about or had dismissed.

Thus each individual is highlighted the fact that they have within them the potential to

-be more of a blessing or to make more of a difference in the lives of others.

-make career choices that suit who they truly are or their capabilities learnt or natural gifts, talents and skills.

As one participant of the exercise on 2nd July 2016 put it “This is a framework that can help people connect their talents with their choice of career path”

– be affirmed and confident in applying for a particular job, engage in specific ministry, volunteer work or a hobby that they would have hesitated to do in the past.

-be more confident in the relevance of their current gifts, talents and skills to what they do (i.e. career, volunteer work, church ministry and hobby) and what they could do or would like to do in the future.

-be much happier, more fulfilled and better able to excel as the exercise enables them to perceive their full potential in relation to their gifts, talents and skills. In so doing they are able to confidently capitalise on their current gifts, talents and skills so as to making the right career, volunteer work, church ministry and hobby choices. They can also decide to undertake further training in areas of particular interest or strength if need be.

2.GOD GIVEN GIFTS AND ABILITIES ARE USED DURING THE COURSE OF THIS EXERCISE

In addition to ministering through prayer, each person is also encouraged through the exercise to use their gifts of discernment/ intuition, wisdom, knowledge and prophecy with the person they are paired with. The fact that it is done in pairs also enables each partner to understand that they have a God given ability to discern, utilise God given wisdom and revelation in order to “pull out” or bring to the fore potential or destiny from within someone else.

True believers in Christ are all prophetic by virtue of having the indwelling Holy Spirit. Living a Christian life in surrender to God enables the sanctifying process of the believer to take place and this means that the Christian is being refined within to the glory of God; their discerning and intuitive capabilities are becoming increasing yielded to God the Father through Christ Jesus.

As Deborah said at the end of the first gathering of Maranatha Encounters Ministry on 2nd July 2016, following the feedback from delegates (see below point 3) “When I began this exercise, I never once mentioned the word “prophetic” but listening to all your feedback with phrases that express how God has used someone who is “very sharp, very prophetic” for your sake and He has allowed you to speak “inspirationally” into the life of another. This exercise affirms and underlines the fact that everyone who is a born again Christian, a believer in Jesus and has the Spirit of God dwelling in them is “prophetic” because the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of prophecy, the testimony of Jesus and knows the mind, will and wisdom of God and communicates them to us (1 Corinth. 2 and Rev 19:11). God is able to use us for the sake of one another by His Holy Spirit indwelling us.

3. FEEDBACK ABOUT THE EXERCISE FROM DELEGATES

At the end of the motivational exercise during the seminar on 2nd July 2016, some participants came forward as a pair or on their own to share what they received from it: Below is a text transcribed from a recording of what they said. Only initials of individuals are given. Their comments highlight or reinforce the fact that this exercise is God inspired and part of God’s creative ways in enabling his people to bear more and lasting fruit to the glory of His name and kingdom.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing…You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name” (John 15:5,16NLT)

Pair 1 J.R & D.J

J.R’s Feedback – This exercise is good because it helps us to appreciate what we have and what we can impart into others. We do not see this enough in the body of Christ as we should be…we live in a time of great oppression at every angle…This type of exercise is excellent in helping us to encourage one another, to live up to those encouraging words and to give them out freely…”

D.J’s Feedback -“J.R is very sharp, is very prophetic and what she said was very encouraging. Her advice was words I had heard and received before. I feel I have received something that I can actually wage a good warfare with and take forward. I am grateful when I do receive ministry that I can grab hold of and work with. I do not get the opportunity to do so often.”

Pair 2 M.O & H.L

M.O’s Feedback – “What I found from doing this exercise was that it opens up your eyes to what you actually have [gifts, talents, skills] and how you can make use of it and if you are using it, how you can even explore it more and go higher in it because God has given us gifts and talents we can actually use not just for ourselves but to bless others in situations we find ourselves in. I found it very very useful, really a blessing. Thank you very much to the organiser.

I want to say that we are loaded, everyone here is loaded [with gifts, talents and skills] don’t let anyone tell you that you are not loaded: “You can do all things through Christ who Strengthens you” (Phil 4:13).”

H.L’s Feedback – “Thank you very much, I am quite a visual person.. Like to get engaged in something ..it works really well. When M.O and I swapped our papers it was like “wow, wow..We have all these qualities”, even that was enough for me to say that we tend to downplay what we have and what we do. [This exercise] really does give you more confidence. I hope that this exercise actually gives you more confidence in what you are doing or looking to do.
Yes it’s been an encouragement for me, and even the advise M.O gave me. I get reluctant accepting certain things from different people, but knowing that it is in a space like this and has come from M.O’s own heart and I can resonate that with what God has registered to me, he (M.O) even put scripture on it. All of that is even more helpful confirming a lot of things and giving confidence.”

E.A’s Feedback – I found the exercise really helpful. It released a lot of inspiration and was able to unlock a lot of things that have been kept buried and kept on a back burner which has been brought more to the forefront. Obviously even when we go home, we can begin to release those things to the Father and re-engage in so many areas. I really felt it really helped me to flow, to minister to our sister here inspirationally as well. I really felt it also brought a level of bonding and intimacy with people you are actually doing the exercise with.”
L.L’s Feedback – “This is an amazing tool! I do coaching and training … It really impacted me.. X (her friend) has been speaking to me about ministry and I am like no! It really made an impact on me, so I can actually go to the Father now and say “ok let’s do this, I don’t want to say I don’t want to do this because I know I can by your strength so how can I do this?” You need to go to churches with this. I am serious, also leaders in churches so they can then impart it to their churches. This is because we don’t do this in churches, we do it at work. This is a framework that can help people connect their talents with their choice of career path.”

I declare “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…”

noweapon.jpg

I declare over your life today that “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness of me, saith the LORD” (Is. 54:17 KJV). What is a declaration? It is a formal, explicit statement or pronunciation or proclamation. The bible says God’s word is forever settled (Psalm 119:89). Therefore this declaration or statement (Is. 54:17) regarding God’s protection of you because you are His is settled! Just receive it and meditate over it, read it out loud, sing it over yourself because your God who wars on your behalf, delights in you and sings over you!

“The LORD your God is with you,the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you,but will rejoice over you with singing”
(Zeph. 3:17 NIV).

To God be the glory great things He has done!

The Lord says to you as He did to the children of Israel, this is your heritage:

1.”No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper…”

What is a weapon in this context?
Anything that Satan uses to attack God’s people is a weapon. These include:

i.Objects such as talismans, voodoo dolls and amulets used in witchcraft and the occult.

ii.Human agents:
-An individual, even a friend or family member, serving as an agent

-Satanic cults, witchcraft covens that engage in satanic séances, incantations

-A group of people, who could be a group of friends or a group of family members serving as satan’s agents.

Some people whether they are in the church or outside of it do not even realise they are being used as weapons. As we abide in Christ and He in us, our prayer is that we will strong in the LORD and in the power of His might so that we are not used by Satan and his demons.

If the weapons used against you do not prosper it is also true that the works or outcome of those diabolical weapons if they manage to manifest at all are powerless against you by almighty God.

This is because you have the authority through Christ Jesus to withstand them. Jesus spoke of the fact that Satan has been defeated and that he has empowered his disciples which you are today:

“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:18-19 KJV).

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”(Romans 8:37KJV)

Satan’s weapons and their works cannot stand or prosper because you are in right standing with God (righteous) and prospering in Him.
“2Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.(3 John 1:2 KJV)

Will you grasp these truths if you have not already and walk in the freedom that is your heritage as a child of God?
If you have already done so it is time to be even more vigilant as you prepare to enter into the new year!

2.”…every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn..”

As one empowered by the Holy Spirit you are a powerful weapon in God’s hand for you
have the power to condemn the enemy who attempts to condemn you!
1[There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.(Romans 8:1-2 KJV)
As one who is righteous, empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit who makes intercession for you and through you according to the will of God, your earnest prayers “has great power and produces wonderful results” (NLT). Just take a moment to reflect on that!

Words released out of someone’s mouth a “Human satanic weapon”, which has condemned you, given you a negative picture of who you are and resulted in a sustained low self esteem even since your childhood are powerless once you come to Christ. Why? Because God’s words are the most powerful words which counteract, reverse and thwart the words that have been spoken against you since birth.

As you meditate on the word of God and declare it out loud as one in fellowship with the Holy Spirit who is the power of God,
-the voice of God is released in the atmosphere in all its power
-the testimony of Jesus (who is the Word of God) is made manifest.

Satan and his demons have no choice but to flee from the life of one who lives in the presence of God. This is because as a weapon and a mouthpiece of the almighty God, you are His “Battle Axe” or an instrument of His anointed voice and Holy Spirit that breaks demonic yoke and bondages.

4The voice of the LORD [is] powerful; the voice of the LORD [is] full of majesty.5The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.(Psalm 29: 4-5 KJV)

20Thou [art] my battle axe [and] weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;21And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;…(Jer. 51:20-21 KJV)

If you believe that God’s words come to pass (Isaiah 55:10-12), then it means you also believe that they replace and so withstand the words of the enemy against you.

This is what Jesus came to do, to engage in a divine exchange. When he died on the cross, he took on every curse, the written and spoken ordinances against you.
“14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;15[And] having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it ”(Col 1:14-15 KJV).

This is why it is important to meditate on God’s Word (the bible) over and over again and to declare them out loud. In so doing your heart (your innermost being of moral activity, your soul) comes in agreement with God’s word of truth, His predestined identity and destiny for you. There is therefore a renewal of mind and so an exchange of the lies and false presumptuous about life and who you are.

Every plan or scheme of satan through his “principalities, powers and the rulers of the dark world, spiritual wickedness” (KJV) is thwarted by almighty God who is the LORD of the heavenly armies (angels) in Jesus’ mighty name!

Brethren, let us therefore continue to be steadfast in abiding in God through our Lord Jesus Christ because in so doing, we allow God through His Word and by His power to condemn and render null and void all of Satan’s weapons, schemes and plans against us.

Thus living a life that daily bears witness to the LORD “who bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations” (Psalm 33:10-11 KJV).

Blessed are you “whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance” (Psalm 33:12 KJV).

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed!

Poem: Not Moved by Winter Woes

Today is the first day of Winter (21/12/2016).

Not Moved by Winter Woes

Winter whips and scolds relentless.
Many respond, their countenance distort in sadness.

Attention seeker by appearance of naked twigs,
whitened trees and much more, even the chapped
lips and forlorn faces slapped by the weather.

Winter appears at the close of Advent when hearts are
at the peak of their joyful ascent.

Ascent in marking the birth of the Saviour,
one by whom man is a survivor.

A survivor no longer moved by life’s lashes
nor the beating and rage of the biting weather.

Jesus, One with Father: Emmanuel God with Us

“Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matthew 1:23 KJV)

EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US – RECONCILIATION OF MANKIND WITH GOD.

It was God’s love and concern for mankind which compelled Him to send Jesus, who is a revelation of “God with us”, Emmanuel. Jesus is the one who makes people holy through his suffering and death. He became one with or the “brother of” those who were being sanctified by him. Jesus became like his brethren in his role as a merciful and faithful high priest able to help those tempted and make it possible for them to be reconciled with God.
“Jesus, who makes people holy, and all those who are made holy have the same Father. That is why Jesus isn’t ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Since all of these sons and daughters have flesh and blood, Jesus took on flesh and blood to be like them. He did this so that by dying he would destroy the one who had power over death (that is, the devil). In this way he would free those who were slaves all their lives because they were afraid of dying. So Jesus helps Abraham’s descendants rather than helping angels. Therefore, he had to become like his brothers and sisters so that he could be merciful. He became like them so that he could serve as a faithful chief priest in God’s presence and make peace with God for their sins. Because Jesus experienced temptation when he suffered, he is able to help others when they are tempted.” (Heb.2:11, 14-18 NOG)
The Apostle John stated it simply as “God loved the world this way: He gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NOG)
EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US – A REVELATION THROUGH HOLY SPIRIT.
1God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.2Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;3[Though] the waters thereof roar [and] be troubled, [though] the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.4[There is] a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High.5God [is] in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, [and that] right early.”

(Psalm 46:1-5 KJV)
Jesus prayed for the Father to send his disciples (John 14:16) the Holy Spirit, who is depicted in New Testament scripture as living waters. Many including myself have a revelation of the “river” in Psalm 46 as the Holy Spirit. The “river, the streams whereof shall make glad” the people of God, who are His dwelling or “city of God, the holy [place] of the tabernacles of the most High” (KJV). The New Living translation of the bible states that the river “brings joy to the city of God”.

When one has the joy of the LORD, one has the life of God because His joy is an outflow of His life imparted to anyone who belongs to Him so that they can live and labour for Him.

God is with us through Christ. He is our refuge. Despite the rage of heathens and kingdoms against God’s people some of which are happening today, God always speaks into such situations and gives us peace or stillness in our hearts regardless of the situation (Ps.46:6-11 KJV). Nehemiah who was faced with continues intimidation and provocation from those opposing the re-building of the walls of Jerusalem was able to use words such as “…the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Neh. 8:10) when addressing the people. When we read the account of the opposition Nehemiah went through, we can see that if but for the strength of God enabling him to administer wisdom and stay bold he would have easily backed down.

What “earthquakes” or shaking “mountains” are you experiencing in your life today? Let the joy of the Lord, from the River of Life be your strength. Stay in fellowship with God in the Spirit.

Jesus was the giver of life which includes joy in his ministry on earth and was determined to continue doing so as a Comforter or parent even after his ascension this is why he

1.Asked Father to send the Holy Spirit to his disciples.

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:16-18 NIV)

2.Told His disciples to remain in His love (which is abiding in the life of God) and the way to do so is by obeying His command. This is how to have the joy of the LORD within.
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” (John 15:9-11 NIV).

Jesus also said to his disciples

1.“The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63 NLT).

This is why we must let the Word of God dwell in us richly (Col. 3:16). Living a Christ centered life means that the Word of God, the Bible is where we turn to for wisdom and how to live holy lives.

The Holy Spirit is the “Spirit of Prophecy”. He knows the mind and will of God and imparts it to us (1 Corinth 2) and also testified of Jesus, reminding us of his spoken words or teachings (Rev 19:10/John 14:25-26).

2.“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”. (John 10:10 KJV).

Through Christ therefore, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear…” (Ps. 46:1-2) whatever the thief (Satan and his agents) comes to do.

EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US – UNITY OF BELIEVERS

One of Jesus’ missions which is to unite believers in him is the subject of his intercessory prayer to God on their behalf. The purpose of their unity is expressed in Jesus’ prayer (John 17:21): “I won’t be in the world much longer, but they are in the world, and I’m coming back to you. Holy Father, keep them safe by the power of your name, the name that you gave me, so that their unity may be like ours…I pray that all of these people continue to have unity in the way that you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they may be united with us so that the world will believe that you have sent me. (John 17:11, 21).

To conclude, let us give thanks and praise to God our Father that because He came in the person of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ we have His abundant and eternal life. The coming of the Holy Spirit, the River of Life, to indwell believers in Christ on the day of Pentecost and thereafter is as though Jesus never left the earth. Through the Holy Spirit therefore, Jesus’ life as Emmanuel or “God with us” during his public ministry until his death, burial and resurrection still continues to this day and will continue until His Second Coming.

As a believer in Jesus Christ, be reminded that the Holy Spirit indwelling you means that God is with you. As part of the Body of Christ world wide “the City of God” a people with God in them, living lives together in christlikeness, you are called in unity with others and individually to be a testimony of the goodness of God or the blessings of the kingdom; “Righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Romans 14:17 NIV).

We who believe are assured a place in paradise at the end of the age, meanwhile, may we obey Jesus’ new commandment:

“Dear children, I will be with you only a little longer. …34 So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” (John 13:33-35 NLT).

It is therefore worth keeping in mind the fact that it is not merely being a part of the Body of Christ or the Church that testifies that God is with us, but the act of unity and love for one another regardless of gender, race, nationality or social class status. This will prove to the world that we are indeed children of God and that indeed God is with and in us.

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed!

This is an excerpt from a 5 series Jesus, One with Father.

Created Unique & for His Purposes

Introduction

My mother tried to abort me, but did not succeed, people have rejected and wounded me but I am still standing. Praise be unto God who has painstakingly revealed to me that He loves me with an everlasting love, saved my life, created me unique and for His glorious purposes. What ever your story, sovereign God foreknew it and allowed it as He sets the course of your life. He intends to get the ultimate glory out of every situation in your life. Do you let him?

Created Unique & for His Purposes:

No one is an accident, if you have been told that you were unplanned as a child and so were conceived by accident or you came into this world as a result of rape, I have a message for you: how you came into this world does not determine your worth or significance.

While your mother and father, or one parent voiced any of the afore mentioned reasons why you are on earth to you, that was their opinion based on the facts that actually happened and if you are still suffering the effects of being told such details of how you came into being, may our God of compassion heal you completely in Jesus’ name.

I was born out of wedlock and my mother attempted to abort me. She told me in the 1980s “your dad said we were just playing, but despite several attempts to abort you, you just would not die and a nurse advised me to stop doing so. I listened to her” She did not choose to tell me, my sibling told me about her attempt to abort me and when I questioned her she confirmed it and gave me further details. Indeed I am very much alive, while I have been through much rejection and afflictions, I have along the way gone through recurring healing and deliverance and also chosen to forgive my parents.
This is because God has imparted revelation and understanding that He saved me from being aborted, from eternal damnation and is in absolute control of every aspect of my life. He had predestined plans for me; in time I came to know what these plans were and I am now living in the fullness of most of them. To God be the glory, great things He has done!

Our sovereign God who is all knowing, all seeing and all powerful foreknew how you would come into this world. Man has free will, but God is the creator of the following process as all things: conception, fetus formation and the gestation period until birth. He formed you in your mother’s womb and knew what you would look like.

God gave you your unique finger prints, DNA, iris and palm prints among other biometrics.

“13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. 14I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.15My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, [and] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.16Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them.” (Ps. 139:13-16 KJV). God chose who your parents would be and where you would live (Acts 17:26).

If you have been wounded by your parents because of the way they have treated you or the words they have said, forgive them and if they are still alive let them know they are forgiven and reach out to them with the love of the LORD. Whatever they put you through, they were chosen by God to be your parents and you are required by God to honour them.

What a privilege and joy to know that as Christians our destiny was outworked such that at some stage in our lives we became children of God. Just think our names were written in the Lamb’s book of life before the foundation of the world. So if someone tells you that you were unplanned, an accident or even attempts to make you feel insignificant because you do not in their opinion conform to the norm (again in their opinion, not God’s as regards what the norm is!) be reminded that not only were you created by the one and only Master Creator, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, you were chosen even before your parents met and conceived you as one of those who would know God and serve Him through Christ.

“16Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16 KJV).

Our unique destiny path results in us meeting others in the family of God who have also come from their unique backgrounds and journey.

The Apostle Paul (1 Corinth. 12:12-26) used the following analogy : As each human part is necessary for the function of the human body as a whole so too each member of the Body of Christ is needed for the function of the whole.

The different parts of the human body are unique, an eye does not look like or function as the ear, nor the foot as the arm but they are nevertheless necessary and important parts of the human body. Likewise in the Body of Christ we do not look alike naturally nor have the same giftings and callings because we are unique natural and spiritual individuals but each of us are necessary and important parts of the body of Christ.

When we are new believers in Christ, there is a new destiny path as a member of the kingdom of God which again as our pathway before is unique or unlike that of anyone else. It is only when we stay close to God, in obedience to His word and in total surrender to Him that we are able to fulfill our destinies as children of God.

Brethren let us maintain a life of reverential fear of the Lord and engage in spiritual check ups periodically along our journey as purposeful individuals for God.

If we reach the stage in our Christian lives when we start thinking we are too strong in the LORD to fall into temptation or to be deceived then we are in trouble because pride has taken root.

“Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.” (Prov. 16:18 KJV).

God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).

In our spiritual check up, we humbly pray as David did

“23Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:24And see if [there be any] wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23-24 KJV)

“12…cleanse thou me from secret [faults].13Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:12-14 KJV).

Not long before Jesus died he prepares his disciples for his departure with comforting and uplifting words. What he says in the first couple of verses of John 14 which has often been missed confirms that we are individually regarded as unique in God’s eyes.

Meaning? Well you and I have our own mansions built for us because Jesus said “in my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2 KJV).

While we are with other believers in Christ a collective redeemed people of God destined to worship Him day and night in heaven, we are individually heirs with Christ and therefore kings and priests unto God (Rev 1:6/5:10). The preparation of Christ following his ascension is so that we would be received by Him at the end of the age as kings and priests unto God befitting our individual restful mansions. This is as opposed to masses of God’s people abiding in what looks like dormitories. It is a literal fact as Jesus interjected “…if it were not so, I would have told you…” (John 14:2 KJV).

It is also very exciting and the ultimate assurance we need that even while undergoing a unique and purposeful life on earth designed to glorify God, awaiting every true child of God is a welcome by Him which honors them. Someone might say “is it necessary?! The fact that we are with Him in itself is all that matters”.

My brothers and sisters, we serve a God who loves not only to tell us He loves us but also to show His appreciation for our purposeful lives in His regard by rewarding us in unique ways. Jesus emphasised the truth of what he was saying by adding “if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you into myself; that where I am, there ye may be also”. (John 14:3 KJV).

Yes, our Lord Jesus will come back to us and take us where he is and while we know our spiritual position while on earth is as ones raises up with Christ and seated in the heavenly realms with God in Christ (Eph 2:6), we are assured that we will be there with him physically. So let us rejoice, eagerly awaiting that day. Praise the LORD!

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed.

Created Unique & for His Purposes

A Miracle-filled Life is Yours!

Sometimes we may be going through difficulties and not know where to turn. Let us be reminded that we have a God who is “our refuge & strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psa.46:1). He also said in His Word that He will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5).
He is the same God who miraculously prevented Daniel and his friends from burning in the furnace (Daniel 6) and who answered the prayer of the saints on behalf of Peter so that he was miraculously released from prison (Acts 12). He is also the same God who came to earth as Christ through a miraculous birth, so that the inheritance of his people Israel would be extended to anyone who accepts Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. If Jesus Christ is not your Lord and Saviour it is not too late, there is a miraculous life awaiting you!
He is also the God who never forgets your faithfulness to Him; many have toiled and laboured and some times wonder when they will either be healed from a particular sickness or receive answers to certain prayers which would change your situation for the better.

In fact some of you have been waiting on God through prayer for the fulfilment of prophecies spoken over your lives. “When LORD! when” is your desperate cry! But God is saying there are things that have to take place first and as you stay close to Him, He will give you understanding. Patience and perseverance in the place of worship regardless of the circumstance is what God is calling us all to.
Be encouraged today! In Christ a miraculous life is guaranteed!
In Him :
In the holy place
we seek His face,

there He appears to

wipe away our tears.
In our hearts

we call His name,

there flows His fountain

that heals our pain.
In Him

no more tears,

no more pain.

Light in the Midst of Darkness

12 When Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he …moved to Capernaum, beside the Sea of Galilee, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali. 14 This fulfilled what God said through the prophet Isaiah:
15 “In the land of Zebulun and of Naphtali, beside the sea, beyond the Jordan River, in Galilee where so many Gentiles live, 16 the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.” (Matthew 4:12-16 NLT).

Jesus went to settle in Capernaum and in so doing fulfilled what was spoken by God through the prophet Isaiah, that “…the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light” (Matt. 4:16 NLT).

The people were in darkness in that region but Jesus went to dwell among them, a sign that God in His mercy had seen their desperate situation and sent them the hope of their salvation, the Light of the World in the person of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. From that point on they had a choice to either stay in darkness or choose salvation through accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

This dark region reminds us of the darkness in most localities in our world today. But wherever a genuine believer in Jesus resides, worships and serves in ministry they are the Lights in Christ-likeness for people who live in darkness in those places.

Jesus …said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12 NLT)

Do you know anyone living in “darkness” personally? I mean the unsaved and even believers who know Christ but are discouraged and have backslidden into the dark world.

As we know Jesus did not stay within the four walls of the house he lived in, while in Capernaum or anywhere else, but he always went about doing good (Acts 10:38); healing the sick, delivering the demonised and preaching the good news of the kingdom of God. This is your call and mine too.

14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:14-16 NLT)

I therefore encourage you brothers and sisters, never to hide your light or who you are as followers of Christ wherever you may be, whether at work, school or anywhere you are a minority in terms of your faith. God said to Eli the priest “…I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me” (1 Samuel 2:30 NLT)

Someone reading this, you may have areas in your life where you feel there is darkness because there is no clarity, but often confusion and obstacles whichever way you turn.
Remember what David said of the LORD “For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see” (Psalm 36:9 NLT).

Also according to Psalm 119:105 (NLT), we know “Your (God’s) word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path”.

God is the light by which we see, and His word is a lamp to guide us wherever we go. Based on these truths, and remembering your inheritance as the light of the world in Christ-likeness, determine to meditate on God’s word while in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, in a spirit of praise asking the LORD to illuminate your mind and give you insight into areas of your life where there is a lack of clarity or you discern confusion or “darkness”.

In so doing, you will gain God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding through His Word and the Holy Spirit. With this insight, you can pray more specifically and exercise your authority more effectively against the kingdom of darkness.

As the saying goes “Prevention is better than cure”, so let us always conduct ourselves and pray in the aforementioned manner and not wait until we are in dire straits, or at our wits end to begin to do so. This is because while at times we may think we see clearly, we actually don’t and it is after we are afflicted that we wish we had waited on the Lord before taking action or moving forward.

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed.

Limitless doses of thanksgiving per day!

image11

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name. the LORD [is] good; his mercy [is] everlasting; and his truth [endureth] to all generations.” (Ps. 100:4-5 KJV)

This morning I was reading about people who have been through great afflictions, trials and sicknesses. One man was told he would not live very long because of cancer but after chemotherapy he has lived on for seven years and each day lived is not taken for granted. Each day is special to him. A woman had lost five babies, two of the children she had have serious disabilities and she was in an abusive marriage for twenty years which she escaped and the list goes on. The common factor
between all these people telling their life experiences is that they all find life worth living. What an encouraging, refreshing read it was and none of them even mentioned their faith and I felt many were not Christians. Most people whatever faith they are, value life more after they have been through extreme difficulties and overcomes.

I and I am sure several people have been greatly saddened by the fact that assisted suicide (right to die) has been legalized or is being promoted not only in Switzerland where it was made famous but now in other western nations. In fact in one country I read about you don’t even have to be terminally ill, as one woman said that she had never wanted to live and so requested that her decision to die be granted and it was.

Sisters and brothers, this is clearly one of the several marks of the final hour before the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The abuse, disrespect of self and then life itself knows no bounds! A great affront to our Creator and life giver God if ever there was one!

This is a time when we as a church should be reaching out more than ever before to the lost, for while there are some who value life having been through tragedies and gained the emotional strength or healing to overcome, there are those who never overcome or they give up on life and become bitter and angry at times expressing how they feel by abusing or making life difficult for others.

Even as believers in our Lord Jesus, life can deal us with extreme blows which may cause us to doubt God and want to give up. I have been given a remedy to counteract discouragement prescribed by our great physician Jesus Christ. In fact it is one that is not uniquely mine, it is just that I have taken great doses daily for sometime out of obedience and I feel compelled to remind and encourage others to do the same. There is no limit as to how much of it one should take daily.

I have seen how much it has made a way for me to be more open to God by focusing on who He is to me and who I am to Him through Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour. Want to take a guess what this “remedy” against discouragement  is?

It is thankfulness! Being thankful every day to God for my life, that I have overcome difficulties and I am still standing.

The key to contentment and peace is developing the habit of always being thankful to The LORD in every circumstance.

Brothers and sisters, if unbelievers in Jesus, people of other faiths or none are able to find life worth living how much more us Christians who believe in him who died to give us abundant and eternal life?

Jesus said
“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:…” (John 11:25 KJV).

“I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12 KJV).

Jesus further spoke of his words being “Spirit and life”(John 6:63).

The first Adam brought death through disobedience but Christ is referred to by the apostle Paul as “the second Adam ” and “life-giving Spirit” (1 Corinth 15:45).

The Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead is in every true believer in Jesus and Paul says that as a result we have the life of God in our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11 KJV).

All this affirmation of having the life of God in us, as new covenant believers ought to excite us and encourage us to be thankful that this is our inheritance as a result of our new life or birth in Him:

1.We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. (Phil 4.13 KJV)

2.No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.” (Is.54:17 KJV)

We are more than conquerors through him (Jesus) who loves us (Romans 8:37)

3.When we go through trials, “fire” He is with us (Isaiah 43:2/James 1:2-3) and molding our character as well as teaching us to be solely dependent on Him.

Life is truly worth living!

Let us be thankful daily for the fact that we are alive at such a time as this belonging to and serving God who says

“…giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me, if you keep to my path I will reveal to you the salvation of God”(Ps. 50:23 NLT)

Dear Father
We thank you for your immense love for us and taking us out of darkness into your kingdom of light. Forgive us when we have taken our lives for granted and even complained rather than give thanks.
Help us to remember that thanksgiving should be the order of the day in our lives and how much it glorifies you when we are thankful to you.
Father we cry out on behalf of the brethren who are ill, weak emotionally and are struggling in many ways that you will miraculously heal and deliver them and give them hope for the future in a way only you can.
We also lift up the unsaved including those who have a new zeal for life having overcome many tragedies that you would in this time create a thirst in their hearts, unquenchable until they find you, the only source of redemptive life.
In Jesus Name, Amen

“You are blessed, determine to stay blessed”
