“…Come ye, and let us go to the Mountain of the LORD” (Isa. 2:3 KJV)

A prophetic study of Isaiah 2:1-4 & Ephesians 4:11-14 and what these verses mean in relation to the remnants of the end time Church.
In addition to the last days’ biblical prophecies of increased wickedness, and that there shall be wars and rumours of wars, there are also prophetic words about the last days being a time of God’s Mountain (His Dominion, Kingdom of remnants, true saints) being “exalted above the hills” and all the nations will advance towards God’s mountain and partake of it (Isa.2:2).

This exalted “Mountain of the Lord’s house” I gain the revelation is a type of the Kingdom of God represented by the true church of our Lord Jesus Christ, depicted as the Faithful church in the book of Revelations. It is a place where all believers in Christ should aspire to be and call others to join in also; A place where God’s truth prevails or is elevated over and above deceptive mounts or “hills” in relation to interpersonal relationships as well as church structure or system.

This true Bridal church is awaiting her Bridegroom Christ’s return and the partakers of it are the true remnants; those who have been through a journey as believers in Christ that has resulted in preening through testings and chastening by God.

They are exalters of God who walk in the Spirit of God not the flesh and therefore know that “the weapons of their warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinth. 10:4-5 KJV).

The remnants are those who have overcome in the tribulations of life by God’s gracious enabling through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37/Rev 7:9). In this place they have graciously been given the ability to discern what the building blocks of a kingdom church entails and how it is truly the only means through which God’s people “the Saints” will be effectively equipped for the work of the ministry (Eph. 4:11-14).

The “Mountain of the Lord” type of Church is where all believers in Christ should aspire to be in these last days. It has the Kingdom paradigm as opposed to the denomination paradigm. The following quote is by Apostle George Akalonu from his book “Discover and Fulfil your Ministry”: “The critical difference between a kingdom minded church and a denominational one is the concept of ministry. A Kingdom minded church is where the Church is presented as the Body of Christ. Since it is a Body, the real head is Christ and every one of the redeemed is gifted by the Holy Spirit to function optimally in order to contribute to its health.

This by no means implies that there will be no leadership. Rather the kingdom minded Church is conscious of the need to live according to the Word of God. The Word specifically pinpoints the Ministry root of leaders – the fivefold:apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers as that of “equipping the Saints” or perfecting them for the work of the ministry.

11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (Eph.4:11-12).

In other words the work of the ministry is to be done by all members of the household of faith rather than just the leaders. This establishes the fact that the Church is designed to function as a living, loving, Holy Spirit filled and led organism rather than an impersonal human or religious organisation.

Until this simple truth is discovered and put into practice, the Church of Jesus Christ will remain immature and an ineffective witness of the risen Christ before a sceptical world. Where this truth is given its place, Saints will mature quickly, able to discern truth and error, be immunised from various winds of doctrine and above all function optimally in receiving the grace of God and releasing the gifts of the Holy Spirit in them. This in turn will lead to a united body which reflects Christ, its head.

13Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (Eph. 4:13-14).

Irrespective of age, gender, educational attainment, wealth or size of congregations, true leaders called by Jesus Christ, will be recognised by how close their ministries are structured to empower Saints using the Ephesians 4:11-16 model. True leaders therefore will focus intense attention on the empowerment of the Saints they are maid overseers of, over and above every other thing!

Finances, acquisition of property, broadcasts on radio and TV are all good but but none is anywhere near the need to systematically empower the Saints to come to a place of knowing who they are in Christ, who he is in them and the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in them. This is what defines their callings, gifts and ministry to God and other members of the Body.”

Remnants who are living in the realm of the “mountain of God” as part of the Kingdom Church, having overcome the restrictive mindsets and attitudes are prospering in all things. They have a knowledge of Christ that is genuine because of their close relationship with the Holy Spirit and are therefore blessed with all that partains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3-4). Being in the truth, they are therefore fulfilling their destinies as ones with the promises of God who partake of the divine nature.

In this place, the remnants who are the Kingdom Church’s “Saints movement” are burdened for their brethren in Christ who are deceived or spiritually unable to advance in the purposes of God because of the restrictive system of church they are confined to.

Those on the “Mountain of the Lord” or in the Kingdom paradigm are therefore Christ’s burden bearers. They must remember they are mandated spiritually and respond to this mandate which is to pray and beckon such brethren saying “come, let us go to the mountain of the Lord”…oh house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord” (Isa.2:3,5 KJV).

This phrase in Isaiah is relating to walking in the fullness of God’s true light as opposed to deceptive light or partial true light of heresies and blasphemies, because God’s people are not called to walk in mediocracy but excellence. We have “all things that pertain to life and Godliness” through the knowledge of Christ. We are treasures in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power maybe of God and not of us.

This is what the true dominion or kingdom of God for which we are called as ambassadors through the Kingdom church looks like. Indeed if you are not there yet, I say “Come let us go to this “Mountain of the Lord”, this place of His glorious elevation and greater heights and deeper depths in Him, Adonai the Sovereign God of all!

“3And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” (Isa.2:3-4 KJV).

It is a place where the unadulterated Word of God is taught so that God’s children will be able to live righteously and victoriously. The fulfilment of their destinies is therefore guaranteed.

Those who are taught will therefore be equipped to teach and evangelise effectively as God requires. The effective co-labouring for God and His wisdom and knowledge in manifestation will affirm God as judge and mediator for peaceful co-existence among His people.

Indeed the Bridal Church of overcomes remnants is a reflection of the new Jerusalem that John saw “the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” A place where God tabernacles with His people (remnant Saints). A place void of sorrow or affliction. It is a place of peace and joy in God’s glorious presence.

Are you ready? Are you calling others to “Come, Let us go to the Mountain of the Lord”?

Prayer Room: Prayer for wisdom, knowledge, understanding and to let go & let God in our decisions & actions.

Dear Gracious Father
By wisdom you founded the earth and by understanding you established the heavens. Your word says blessed is the man that finds wisdom and gets understanding and also that you are the giver of wisdom knowledge and understanding. They are more precious than silver, gold and rubies. Our righteousness is as filthy rags and our schemes are worthless without your knowledge and how to apply them wisely. Your word also says that without you we can do nothing.

Who can know and understand your ways? Who can gain your wisdom except by your Holy Spirit who instructs us about your ways and reminds us of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Father I pray that you would forgive us for making decisions without consulting you or seeking your counsel. I ask you to graciously deliver us from self motivated decisions and actions.

“Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou [art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”

I also pray that you would take control of every aspect of our lives and help us to direct our focus on that which concerns you. Help us to know and prioritise what you perceive as a priority and to do only what you instruct us to do, redeeming the time, for your coming is soon.

Father, help us in our weakness and come in all your might and power to make us a people ready for the coming of the Lord.

In Jesus’ mighty name I pray Amen.

The Power of God’s Ideas Whose Time Has Come!

💥There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come!”💥 Victor Hugo
I see this quote as having more depth and meaning in a Christian context.

In the fullness of time God sent His son Jesus Christ.

This was God’s great and powerful idea at His perfect timing, to come to earth as the all powerful God in the person of Jesus Christ. This is how God took back His possession, Yes you and I !

A Man of War, Jehovah Gibbor through this idea came to fight a battle on our behalf and took us from the clutches of Satan by redeeming us from our sins.

How awesome,

How touching

Oh how loving is that !

Yes, God came as man in the flesh!

to reconcile the world back to Himself.

What a genius is our God, the greatest of all! His ideas are incomparable in greatest to those of humans, the created. Yes those He created!

God has many powerful ideas that manifest as plans for you and I attainable through Christ and in the fullness of time.

Yes, at different times during our life He brings them to fruition, they germinate from seed, emerge as stems with leaves, flowers and fruit ready for the picking and fragranced with heavenly scents that bring healing and restoration to us and those we encounter. God’s ideas are no small thing for they are simultaneously for individual, family, community, national and world transformation.

So you see God’s ideas are powerful and indeed exert unmatchable power when their time of unraveling comes!

He has multitudes for you. Are you seeking Him daily and fervently to know what they are ?

It is never too late to be a diligent seeker of His ideas. God is patient and a redeemer of time lost as other things. He is a God of second, third, fourth and more chances for He loves us with an everlasting, unconditional and unrelenting love.

While you partner with Him to outwork His ideas for you, you manifest His powerful creativity and you declare Him as the all powerful God of all!

So what are you waiting for?

Have an exciting day of discovery and recovery of His powerful ideas for you, indeed the set time is now!

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed.

Trust God or our feelings ? That is the question!

When we come to Christ we must learn to live by faith in God.“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”(Heb. 11:1 KJV).

We don’t see those things we hope for yet, but we believe we have obtained them. We don’t always feel righteous but we believe we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We don’t question what God will do, we just accept it, why? Because the God in whom we believe has either spoken to us directly or through others and His word.

When we come to Christ, we are declared a new creation because old things have passed away and all things have become new. We may not feel like “a new creation” sometimes during our Christian lives, but who are we going to believe our feelings or God? That is the fundamental question right there!

In the journey of sanctification as a child of God, the old or carnal nature is raging wild because it is losing its battle to stay alive, it’s agreement with Satan and his demons is no longer effective in controlling our soul (mind, intellect and emotions) as before.

This is because as we live a life of praise, prayerfulness and bible study, we become totally surrendered to God and develop a “Spiritual man into God” nature. Living in the Spirit daily our soul learns to distinguish between what we do that is motivated by Satan and what is motivated by God and we are empowered by the indwelling Holy Spirit to reject satan’s control of our mind, intellect and emotions.

The carnal or natural man cannot know the things of God because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinth.2:14)
In addition:

“For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.7Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.10And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness” (Romans 8:6-10 KJV)

Praise the Lord that with sanctification and maturity comes the dying of self so that the natural tendency to act out our feelings at a whim or quickly declines increasingly. If we are still struggling in these areas, our God is faithful to help us when we acknowledge our weaknesses and sins before him.

By God’s revelation we know that our feelings are naturally under the influence of our soul (mind, intellect and emotions) and reveal the condition of our soul most of the time. The degree of sanctification of our soul nature is dependent on the degree in which we are surrendered to God. How we feel about ourselves, others and situations is therefore often a reflection of the state of our soul.

When we live by the Apostle Paul’s following admonition based on the word of God: “whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things” (Phil. 4:8 KJV),

it also means we are living in obedience to what Paul said to the Romans (Romans 12:1-3) that we should not be conformed to this world but rather be transformed by the renewing of our minds.  It is therefore inevitable that our souls will be transformed and aligned with how God feels about us and our feelings serve as an outlet to affirm the changes we are experiencing to the glory of God.

While our soul is being transformed daily, maintaining an attitude of reverential fear of God is important as well as remembering that our dependence is always on God. This is regardless of our spiritual gifts or an advanced knowledge of the bible. In short, an attitude of humility before God is important.

Why? This is because our feelings must be kept in check as we can still be deceived into believing something that is untrue and so be misled. For instance, when I feel a certain way, it does not necessarily mean that is a true indication of the circumstances. As believers in Christ, if we have not already done so, we must awaken to the fact that in the Christian journey there may be areas of our souls that are not yet completely surrendered to God. This is because in our lives before Christ the enemy reinforced his might in those areas due to things we may have got involved in or we had no control over.
This is why however much sanctified or close to God we think we are, we should still be cautious in trusting our feelings, for they could be giving us signals contrary to what God is saying. How do I know for sure what the reality is? I must wait patiently on the LORD in prayer or speak to Him about the way I feel. I need to ask Him to give me clarity and understanding directly or through His word. This is because quick decisions based on the way I feel are likely to cost me heartache or distress because they could be rooted in deception.
Dear brothers and sisters let us remember that it is what God says about us that defines us not our feelings. It is important to meditate regularly on what the word of God says about who we are as children of God.
You may feel insignificant because of how you were treated in your formative years by family or peers at some point in your life. However as a child of God, He says that He loves you, you are precious and his delight and this is why He sent Jesus for you.

“I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” (Jer 31:3 KJV).

“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married” (Is.62:3-4 KJV).

Jesus spoke of how the greatness of his love for mankind compelled him to give up his life for us, his friends (John 15:13 KJV).

You may be plagued with guilt about a certain area of your life, but God says

-When you came to Christ, he blotted out all your sins and remembers them no more (Is. 43:25 KJV).

-There is no condemnation for you because you are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1-3)

My prayer for you is that you may “abound in knowledge and … insight” and be able to discern the truth as concerns your feelings and their alignment with the will of God in Jesus’ name. Amen. (Phil. 1:9-10 NIV)

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed
