Let nothing & no one call you “disabled” (incapable, unable, unworthy, insignificant etc…)
Will you allow others to label you and so define you? Will you accept their definition of you as opposed to God’s ? The negative definition that seeps into not only your conscious mind but also your subconscious, resulting in self limitation, under-valuing your capabilities or even prevents you from seeing what you are capable of!
The state of being “disabled” whether physical or spiritual is a matter of perspective. If you have a life in God, one of your key taglines should be “I am always capable through Christ”. Don’t be like a prisoner
-who has had their chains removed but is still standing in a bound position.
-whose prison doors are open but he cannot see it and is still sitting in the prison. Jesus came to set the captives free (Isaiah 61).
When in Christ, there is nothing you cannot achieve in life, regardless of your
✝️physical state, Nick Vujicic is an example, he said
“I don’t believe I am disabled. Yes, I may have no limbs, but no big deal. It doesn’t matter how I look—
it’s WHO I AM and WHAT I CAN DO that matters!”
(in picture below) check out his life story and achievements to the glory of God.
✝️youth: David who became king of Israel was a youth when God started to use him. By God’s power and might he was able to fight against the lion and the bear while tending to his sheep in the wilderness.
He developed the “I can” self perspective that was from God, so that the giant enemy of Israel, Goliath feared by adults of the army of Israel was “chicken feed” in his eyes.
God brought David up to believe he could do all things through God who strengthened him. This ought to minister to us as to how to bring up children or young people. The perspective of one’s self is so important and will determine the course of one’s life.
In our day, God is using young people mighty as it was prophesied by the prophet Joel (Joel 2:25).
✝️little or no education: God gives wisdom and ability to excel for His sake and there are many cases of men and women of God who have not had the privilege of being educated at all or have very elementary education, who are doing exploits for God while demonstrating His wisdom and anointing as they do so.
Let us always see ourselves as children of God who can do all things through Him and Him alone.
Jesus said “5I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.”(John 15:5-6 KJV)
It is time for us to discard limiting self-perspectives and live in the reality of Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
