Nevertheless at thy Word, Lord

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught”. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had done this, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake” (Luke 5: 4-5 KJV).

Simon (also known as Peter) and his partners were washing their nets, they had toiled all night and caught nothing. Jesus Christ who Simon had made a part of his life accepting him as his “Rabbi” or teacher, needed the use of Simon’s boat for his teaching ministry that day. So Jesus got into Simon’s boat and was sitting in it in the lake not too far from the shore and teaching the crowd.

Having used Simon’s boat to teach the crowd, Jesus then had a plan to bless Simon, James and John. He started by asking Simon to “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught”. Note that Jesus did not merely say launch out into the lake, but in the deeper most part of it is what he was instructing Simon to do.

Simon and the other fishermen had toiled all night and they had caught nothing not even in the shallow waters, and Jesus was saying “Launch out into the deep!”, but Simon obeyed Jesus saying “nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net”.

Brethren, when you welcome Jesus in your life “Boat” and allow him to orchestrate your life for the sake of others it means God has a plan for your life that would surprise you, He will do something for you that you least expect; there is a great miracle awaiting you in areas of your life where you lack as Simon and his fishing partners James and John found out.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matt.6:33 KJV).

When you say “nevertheless at thy word” to the LORD, not looking at things with your natural eyes, but your spiritual eyes of faith, if the company you keep also have Jesus in their life “boat”, as Simon did, they will surely partake of your blessed life in Christ as you will theirs. It is inevitable that when God provides for you miraculously in your areas of need, they too will benefit from it and you will also benefit when they receive the same. This is because it is God’s will that His people are one and live together as a family of God. Jesus prayed for God’s people to be one (John 17:19-21).

“…Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1 KJV)

What do you have in common with your closest friends? It is the unity through Christ that creates a ripple effect of blessings.

Dear brothers and sisters, this account ought to encourage you that God is always looking for ways to bless His children as only a heavenly Father can do. He knows how you have made Him the captain of your life “boat” through Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour and so He knows your needs, where you lack and how much you carry on working and toiling for Him, saying daily “nevertheless at thy word” even when he sends you into those “deep” places where an outcome of success seems more impossible.

My message to you today is that He always hears your surrendered response and sees your activation of faith in obedience and whenever you are weak He extends His hand to help you and strengthens you with His powerful Holy Spirit. If you are already seeing the fruit of your labour, I praise God with you and encourage you to keep on keeping on. If you have not yet, I also praise God with you, because God is working on it, delay is not denial and His timing is perfect.
You are blessed, determine to stay blessed.

(Poetic & Prophetic exhortation)

The Me I Know

The me I know is called black that’s okay for it’s but a word, a description of the colour that’s my skin.

The me I know is God’s that’s okay for it is the me reborn, a state of being that’s in the here and now and for His purpose, I so define.

The me I know, knows her worth, that’s okay for it’s a mindset shift, a knowing of true self, enabled by whose I am, the divine.

The me I know who is His, has escaped, that’s okay, for it is time for release from ancient potholes marked “unworthy” to embrace the liberation of the Saviour of nations.

Soaring with healed wings away from the snare of the fowler and refusing a status defined with distaste by my external colour.

The me I know lives in the reality of her Saviour’s finished work among remnant saints a family of nations and tribes of a multicoloured hue, that’s okay for we are one, the human race.

Intimately and Daily yours

Loving Father,

I don’t know how to pray, but one thing I know is that I love you more everyday.

Come closer dear LORD and guide me daily, even with the rod.

To listen to your voice over and above the noise is my daily choice.

Without you I am nothing. With you I find rest and have everything.
Teach me to trust you daily even when dark clouds block my view.

Intimately yours, I offer my heart to you day by day.

Prayer of thanksgiving for God’s mighty voice

Heavenly Father
Thank you for your mighty voice, a voice that resounds in all the earth on my behalf.

By your voice the earth was created, Oh Almighty God ! At the sound of your voice my enemies tremble and flee.

A voice that declares that I am set free from the clutches of Satan because Jesus Christ died for me!
A voice that said on the Cross “It is finished” opening the prison gates so I can walk the path of victory to fulfil your predestined plans for me.

Your voice shatters strongholds of confusion and affliction, building fortes of peace and giving me abundant life in the here and now!
Your voice is powerful, breaking chains and setting captives free. Your voice, O LORD, is full of majesty!

I give you thanks and praise forever and ever, in Jesus mighty name Amen.

God’s Voice – The Greatest Sound of All (Praise Poem)

psalm 29

God Almighty,
talking, chirping, mooing and barking
are sounds that we hear from some
of your creatures great and small.
The creature in your image has the
greatest sound of them all.

When we hear the sound of the gusts
of wind, drops of rain, hooting cars,
the screeching train and the cracking
violent sound of thunder from the sky,
it’s the daily melody of Your created earth.

When we hear the sound of the
rise and fall of spluttering waves,
the ship docking and berthing,
ocean sea gulls wailing and squawking,
it’s the melange of stillness and squalling
of the coastal shores you created.

None of these sounds LORD, have
the power to change lives as your
mighty voice, nor match the sound of
your soothing words of comfort when
we seek your fortitude.

There is no sound on earth greater
than your voice that “thunders over the
mighty sea, [and] is powerful;majestic,
splits the mighty cedars; ..
shatters the cedars of Lebanon..
twists mighty oaks and strips the
forests bare…everyone shouts, “Glory!”

So to you we ascribe all our worship,
declaring: “The LORD rules over the
flood waters. The LORD reigns as king
forever. The LORD gives his people strength.

The LORD blesses them with peace (2)
“The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved:

he uttered his voice, the earth melted.” (3)

Exhortation: The Advance – Press On!

What is the vision? What is the goal for which you press on, for which you aspire? Has the Lord spoken something into your heart that you hope to achieve ? Is there a plan and a purpose of God you know about that has been revealed through a prophet?
I say press on!

Do not allow failures or situations of the past to hold you back or cause you to regress. Resist the voices of people who have caused you to doubt your ability to achieve anything from being amplified in your mind repetitively.

In the bible, James says

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7 KJV)

We can only resist the enemy by bible study and meditation. This is because we are strengthened and revived in believing that what is impossible for man to achieve is possible by God (Luke 18:27/Matt.19:26).
The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our pathway (Psalm 119:105) and enables us to see the way forward clearly and gives us Elohim God’s wisdom in how to advance.

Christ Yeshua is wisdom personified and by his death, burial and resurrection, divine power from God hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3 KJV). We are therefore able to press forward and advance into higher heights and deeper depths in God.

Brethren, let us have a steadfast resolve to press on as the Apostle Paul when he said

“…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”(Phil. 3:13-14KJV).

Have a blessed day in Him

Poem:

I Am Home

Thank you LORD for another day! I pray God’s blessings & protection on whoever is reading this & that Holy Spirit will lead them higher & deeper into the realms of God’s Kingdom to communion with Him & receive greater revelation from Him. In Jesus name Amen!

“1After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” (Rev 4:1KJV)
