God’s Faithfulness to the Fully Committed

When your heart is fully committed to God, every step you take will inevitably be guided and guarded by Him.
“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him…” (2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV)
These are two points to remind you of God’s faithfulness to the fully committed, not just by their words but their deeds as well:
1. “Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. Narrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it.” (Matt. 7:13-14 KJV).
The LORD will make sure that you are steered back onto his “narrow” pathway if you should stray away from it at any point due to affliction.
The Lord will be your help in times of trouble to make this possible.
The Psalmist (46:1-3) says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah”.

As one who is in fellowship with His Holy Spirit, He will also give you the ability to discern what is of Him and what is not so that you know when you are on a path He has not led you on.

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.” (Gal. 5:16-17 NLT).

God’s will is that you live and walk guided by the Holy Spirit not by your own carnal longings and desires which is under the control of Satan who entices the flesh to take the “wide gate” or “broad way”. This pathway is pleasing to the flesh or carnal nature because they offer what appear to be easy and quick benefits, in the long term however one realises that the so called benefits were short lived, resulted in affliction or heartache and discouragement.

2. The Lord will ensure that you part with those you are in alliance with who

a)do not have the same call of God as you do.

b)are likely to be a hindrance to you one way or another. This is because they could be agents of conflict or contention directly or through others associated with them.

Abraham (then called Abram) had left Haran (Gen 12) with his nephew Lot, travelled with him to Egypt where Abraham’s riches including livestock had increased. Together Abraham and Lot had a large amount of livestock and there came a time that living together and grazing their animals proved difficult as the land was crowded as other communities lived there as well. In addition their herdsmen had began to quarrel among themselves. Abraham took the wise decision to separate from Lot saying

“..Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if [thou wilt take] the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if [thou depart] to the right hand, then I will go to the left…” (Gen. 13:9 KJV).

When we study scriptures closely, it is evident that Abraham’s call by God out of his country, Haran (Gen. 12) did not include his relatives. He was married at the time so his wife was included. It was therefore not surprising that a time came for him and Lot to part and what better time than when the land they occupied could not hold their combined possessions.

Today let us pray, asking the LORD to reveal to us if we are aligned to the wrong person, people or group and the wise steps we should take to dissociate ourselves from those He exposes. We need to take care that when God tells us to do something or go a particular way we are not involving anyone He has not told us to partner with.

Brothers and sisters, when we are fully committed to the LORD, we must partner with Him as He guides and guards our lives and this means we are to walk in obedience and refused to compromise with evil. As long as we know what the truth is according to God’s Word, we should refuse at all costs to live by half truths and lies.

” said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32 KJV).

Today, let us resolve to continue living as dedicated soldiers of Christ marching on fully committed to our commander in chief, the Lord Jesus Christ, helping others to stay in line or line up with us as is the will of God.

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed!

Today’s Verse & Exhortation (John 6:28-29)

Believing in Yeshua (Jesus) is the starting point to do works on behalf of Elohim God.

We have the Holy Spirit indwelling us when we confess with our mouth and believe in our heart that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Saviour.

As a result, the Holy Spirit governs our mind and we are restored the life of God that was lost because of the generational adamic sin nature and empowered by this same Spirit that rose Yeshua from the dead.

We are therefore enabled to be and manifest as instruments of the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit answers to Messiah Yeshua who we believe in. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Prophecy is also the testimony of Yeshua.

This powerful treasure within is a treasure that enables us to do the works of God so that His excellency is made manifest in our lives for the glory of His matchless Name.

Therefore because of belief in Messiah Yeshua, we can “walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God”.

We can build my treasures in heaven and in His strength, we can do all things!

Praise the LORD GOD Almighty!

Verse (Luke 4:32) & Exhortation

Prioritising the Word of God personified

As New Covenant believers, our priority is the Word of God, the only way to God is through Yeshua (Jesus) who is the Word that came to dwell among us (John chapter 1).

Indeed as a youth, Yeshua manifested the wisdom and stature of God as he discussed with the religious leaders and as we read in Luke 4:32, he astonished the hearers of His teachings. While he performed miracles, Yeshua consistently taught and he is therefore the only source of Elohim God’s truth that sets free (John 8:31-32) for his disciples.

May we live lives meditating on the Word, the scriptures that is, and the life of Yeshua himself who is the Word personified, doing our best to live as he lived in humble obedience to Father.

In addition, let us not forsake fellowship with the Spirit of God for He is God, His power that guides, guards us and reminds us of the teachings of Yeshua, our Messiah and LORD.

Blessings to you and yours,

Mended & Raised Up for His Glory

I woke up one morning thinking “Jesus mends nets”. I remembered that Jesus called James and John at the time when they were with their father in their fishing boat mending their nets (Math.4:21).Jesus’ purpose was to “mend” their lives by making them his disciples so that they would in turn “mend” other people’s lives, by becoming fishers of men. He is continuing God the Father’s “Mending Nets” business today through the power of the Holy Spirit in all the earth and at work within born again believers.

What do “nets” symbolically mean here? Our capabilities, mindsets, attitudes and emotions that have been afflicted or tattered by the enemy, whether before we become Christians or even during our Christian walk. This could have been either at home, school, church or work.

Some of these afflictions are from childhood through to adulthood because of what people did to us, also how we responded as well as what we were taught which has influenced our way of thinking, attitudes and understanding. Jesus came to do what he saw the Father doing or what God gave him the authority to do. His “mending nets” business is clearly expressed and summarised in Isaiah 61:1-3:

“1The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. 2He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. 3To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.  In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory. “(NLT)..

Such people, having been “mended” will be called in service as “menders” or rebuilders. As Jesus, their destinies are also expressed as follows: Isaiah 61:4:
4They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations. (NLT).

Another scripture that comes to mind is Acts 10:38
“And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (NLT).

In addition to healing the sick, the “Good” is all that Father God told Jesus to do in order to “mend” lives such as teachings (i.e perfecting the Law of Moses, how to pray), deliverance of the demon possessed and spending time with society’s rejects so that they know they are loved and valued. Jesus’ “mending” (restoring or rebuilding) business as we know is necessary for us to be saved and then grow to maturity as children of God, thus capable of fulfilling our God given identities and destinies. We each have a part to play in the Body of Christ and the world at large. Some people have found their God given purpose in life, some are on the way to doing so and others don’t have a clue. There are also those who think they do one day, but then they are not sure the next day!

Whatever category you fall into, know that God is at work in you however it may feel like or appear, to take you to even greater depths in your relationship with Him than you are experiencing right now. I sense God wants you to know that as long as you stay in His Word through study and obedience daily, you will receive all that He has for you and will fulfil your God given purpose. He will abide with you as you abide with Him (John 14:21,23).

The heavenly portals of revelation knowledge, wisdom and understanding will be open to you because of your obedience and faithfulness. This is my encouragement to you as I do to myself, that you would live a life of worship, singing praises unto God in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Pray fervently for all things at all times, always be determined to trust God giving thanks regardless of the circumstance and do all you can to live at peace with others, loving them as God loves you.

From experience, I know forgiveness is difficult, but if you are struggling be honest before God about the pain you have suffered and tell Him how you are finding it difficult to forgive but because you desire to obey His command that you forgive you choose to do so and ask for His supernatural power to enable this desire to be a reality. Nothing is impossible for our God,
Having “mended” us through salvation and raised us up, God is always on the look out for tears to our “nets”, the sooner we allow Him to mend then the better because the effective fulfilment of our mission is dependant on our wholeness.

Arise and March on!

Let your actions speak louder than your words. We can desire to change the world, do our part for humanity, speak about it, shout to the roof tops, but honestly what good is it if our hands remain fastened by our sides, our bodies as the walking dead?

Arise and March on!

If indeed your soul is awakened to its calling, singing the song of liberation and riding on the joy train of purpose, it is time for action, O soldier of potential, master of unique purpose.

The journey may be long and hard, but as you put on the full armour of the Most High you will overcome fear and join the ranks of victorious labourers.

Arise and March on!

That Season of Life & Our Response

If your life is totally surrendered to God and if you are living in that intimate place with Him to the best of your ability, know that if people don’t appear to see or consider you or they ignore you then it is not the work of man but of God.

Consider David in the bible, he was left to tend to sheep and was not even considered as worthy to be called when Samuel asked his father Jesse to assemble his sons, one of whom was chosen by God to be the future king of Israel. God intervened and Samuel was called and anointed as king.

God has planned different seasons for us in our lives. Every season comes with God’s divine reasons for orchestrating events the way He does. As with the weather, “climatic” conditions in relation to each season in our lives differ. We need to be sensitive and take every season as they come.

When we are not the centre of attention, nor included among the good and the great our perception and understanding of such times will determine our emotional state, attitude and therefore our reaction.

May God help us to adequately discern the different seasons of our lives so that we do not fret or act on our own accord to our detriment but rather remain in His peace. Before people can see us as God does the timing must be perfect so that what they expect from us and how we respond is in line with God’s plan for us.

In order to respond to people and circumstances as God requires is only possible if we have a close relationship with God and we allow Him to take us through the different seasons of our spiritual development.

Let us rest assured that as in David’s case when God’s time for us to be taken out of obscurity, chosen from among many for a purpose, God will strategies to bring it to pass. After all He who trains us knows when we are ready to display His splendour. There is no need for us to help him do so.

All the seasons of hiddenness in God are good for us; David was tending to sheep, but what only David and God knew was that God was also tending to David’s character.

David had a good time in God’s presence; worshipping and fellowshipping with God in the stillness of the fields as a shepherd.

He was alone but not lonely. He had much time to sing and pray to a God he became confident was his “refuge and fortress” (Psa.91:2) a God he could trust.

Indeed, David had been in danger on more than one occasion as the lion and bear came to attack his sheep. God gave him not only supernatural joy which was his strength but also physical strength to fight and overcome the lion and bear. In the valley of the shadow of death, David said “I will fear no evil for you are with me your rod and staff, they comfort me”. (Psa.23:4).

Onlookers including David’s oldest brother (1 Sam 17:28) saw him as this “good for nothing except for sheep” young boy. Other people’s perception of David did not stop him from fighting Goliath and killing him. If you know your worth in God and trust Him wholeheartedly as indeed David did, it should not stop you from pursuing and fulfilling your destiny.

In the fields as a shepherd boy, David became a profoundly God trusting, confident and fearless young man who was totally surrendered and reliant on God. He was therefore prepared for the next seasons of his life which included confronting and killing the giant Philistine, Goliath when no one could. He was also prepared for the many years of warfare with and affliction from enemies far and near. This was until he become King of Judah then Israel.

Even during those times of hardship fleeing from Saul and his son Absalom, David remained close to God. The solid foundations in God, built in the season when he was an inconspicuous shepherd boy were what kept David’s life from crumbling.

God longs to spend time with us daily to either revive us spiritually, impart his will or plans to us or both. But there are also prolonged times or seasons when there is more of a stillness in our lives than is usual and a pull towards focusing on our relationship with God.

It is important not to ignore these seasons which require more time meditating on scriptures as well as praying and fasting for renewal and growth necessary for the next stage of our lives.

Be blessed and highly favoured in every season of 2019

A Chosen vessel to utter God’s prophetic words and will to bless others – three biblical case studies

For your encouragement as one called and chosen by God to carry His vision and purpose to be birthed for the glory of God, it is worth remembering the following biblical personalities who were also God’s instruments. As in their case, you also have the ability to prophecy, or be God’s vessel for uttering His words or will to bless others:

1.Elizabeth – when she heard Mary’s voice the baby (John the Baptist; a child conceived for the purposes of God) leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was full of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:41), as a result
42she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed [art] thou among women, and blessed [is] the fruit of thy womb.43And whence [is] this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?…45And blessed [is] she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. (Luke 1:4243,45)

2.Mary, pregnant with Jesus having visited Elizabeth and heard her speak under the unction of the Holy Spirit, was also given utterance by the Spirit to sing a prophetic song
unto God, glorifying Him for choosing her and His mighty works on earth (Luke 1: 46-55).

3.Zacharias, a High Priest and John the Baptist’s father, after his son’s birth was full of the Holy Ghost and prophesied the destiny of Jesus Christ and that of John the Baptist (Luke 1:67-79).

As is confirmed by these biblical characters, when God chooses you as His, you become His instrument to conceive His plans and purposes as an anointed vessel of God, your lifestyle and words should therefore testify of who you are to God. You do not need to be a prophet to be a vessel of prophetic utterance by the LORD.

As a born again believer you have the Holy Spirit indwelling you and the more you fellowship with Him as one in Christ the more He will flow as “living waters” out of your “belly” (John 7:38)….

Prayer of thanksgiving & power to be a child of God

Dear Heavenly Father,

Jesus said “..as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name, which were born, not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (1)

Thank you for the power you have given me to become your child. Thank you that from deep within I am constantly transformed by the indwelling Holy Spirit because I believe in the matchless powerful name of Jesus. Father your word says that

“at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(2)

I live to proclaim, praise and honour the life-giving name of Jesus.

Thank you that as one who believes in my heart that Jesus Christ is “The Messiah, Son of the Living God” (3) and with the knowledge of Christ, God’s divine power through the indwelling Holy Spirit of God gives me “All things that pertain to life and godliness…exceedingly great and precious promises” (4).

Through these promises, I am able to be a partaker of the divine nature as a new creation in Christ Jesus “born not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”(1)

Unto you I ascribe all the glory, the honour and praise forever and ever Amen!

Recovery Is Always Guaranteed

Keep on keeping on!

Nothing that belongs to the children of Yahweh can be permanently possessed, stolen or retained by the enemy!

There shall always be a time of restitution. You only need to partner with God and you shall see His hand manifest gloriously.

The Israelites were at war with the Philistines (1 Sam 4-6) and the Ark of the Covenant was captured, however the Philistines had no rest until they returned the Ark. This is because Yahweh struck down their god who they disrespectfully put next to the Ark and unleashed a plague of mice and deadly tumours upon them.

I decree and declare today that likewise your natural and spiritual enemies, shall have no rest until they let go off your life and possessions. The power of the Almighty God and His unadulterated word shall work on your behalf in Yeshua’s mighty name.

Lo and behold! as the people of Beth Shemesh were harvesting and they lifted upon their eyes and saw the Ark come towards them and were filled with joy (1 Sam 6), so it shall always be the case for you.

As you keep on keeping on; tending to the “land” of your heart and being a labourer and harvester for the sake of Yahweh’s purposes, you will not fail to experience the Most High God’s presence nor see all that He has predestined for you coming to you.

Those who trust the LORD will never be disappointed. Do you trust Him?

Even in the final hour He will manifest and answer your prayers. In the midnight hour of your distress, the light of His countenance shall brighten your life giving you hope and filling you with joy.

What you are hoping for may not happen instantly nor overnight, but His timing is perfect. While He is working at it, our LORD says He will never leave you nor forsake you.

As long as the King (Yeshua) is in the field of your life, there is always reason to always lift up your eyes in anticipation. He is faithful and a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Keep on keeping on!

The Most Profound Thing: Simplicity in Christ.

Prophet Bobby Conner said God told him “Bobby, the most profound thing you can do is maintain simplicity”(1)

That is what I aspire in life, however simplicity in Christ does not mean being weak or powerless, for when we are weak, our God Elohim is strong. His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinth.12:8-10).

When we maintain simplicity in our Christian walk, it means we are determined to let God have His way. He promised to make a way where there seems to be no way and that promise is for believers in Him today as it was for the ancient Israelites (Isaiah 43:19).

Our God also speaks to us in His word saying “5Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (Prov. 3:5-6 NLT).

Simplicity in Christ also means that we have chosen to take God at His Word how ever difficult it is to understand or make sense of, because He, Yahweh is the one and only wise God we is faithful and does not disappoint (Psa.25:3/Romans 10:11).

We can only achieve a life that is simple yet powerful if we abide in Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit who knows the mind and will of God, testifies of Christ and teaches us.(2 Corinth. 2, John 14:26/John 15:26).

Yeshua told us to come to him as little children. If we obey him it means we trust and depend on God daily. Simple Christian living is living a life void of “tearing our hair out” trying to make things happen or fix what is broken. It therefore reaps peace and assurance to the “simple child” that their Heavenly Father is in absolute control of their lives.

Cultivating simplicity in every area of our lives speaks of a surrendered life that aspires to be humble as Christ and is the only way to sustained intimacy with God.
