It Is Finished!

Christ has already paid the ultimate price! We are more than conquerors through him who loves us (Romans 8:37). There is no need to despair, but to trust him!

As a believer in Christ, God says to you as He said to Israel “I have loved you with an everlasting love and with loving kindness I have drawn you to me” (Jer 31:3).

Are you going through anything now? Sometimes our afflictions seem endless, but as God spoke through the prophet Isaiah to comfort Jerusalem, his precious city, so too I bring this word of comfort to you, His precious one “your

“…warfare is accomplished,..iniquity is pardoned…Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see [it] together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].” (Isaiah 40:2,4,5 KJV).

Yes, the afflictions of a believer are only temporarily and God intends for His glory to be revealed in our lives, so indeed if we suffer there is an ultimate purpose for the glory of God.

When Jesus said on the CROSS “it is finished” (John 19:30) that is exactly what he meant! When he died for our sins and rose again the third day, our warfare was declared over.

We only need to take hold of this truth and keep it at the forefront of our minds. We need not fret as long as we live in obedience to God’s Word.

This is because God will always thwart the plans of the enemy, counteract the will of Satan and work all things out for our GOOD! (Psalm 33:10-12/Romans 8:28) To God be the glory great things He has done!!

Happiness is Knowing…because of Emmanuel no adverse situation is permanent

(prefer to listen? Click on picture above)

Jesus said to his disciples that he will suffer many things at the hands of the chief priests and Pharisees and be slain but he will rise again in three days (Luke 9:22). His death was not permanent Selah!

Jesus is also saying to his present day disciples that every deadness in absolutely any area of our lives, is not permanent.

Praise the Lord! But wait. There is a condition and one that is beyond confessing with our mouth and believing in our hearts that Jesus Christ is our LORD and SAVIOUR (Romans 10:9-10).

In order for this transition from adversity to consistent blessedness marked by answered prayers and supernatural peace and intimacy with God, the act of sacrificial living is required. This is summed up in Jesus’ words “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.” (Luke 9:23-26 KJV).

Are we ready to be bold witnesses of Christ in a world that hates him and suffer hatred, mockery, persecution and even death in Christlikeness?

A life lived with Christ at the centre inevitably means trouble in the world, but no situation is permanent!

Brethren, let us be reminded of God’s numerous words of comfort to His children that even though we are in the world we are not of it (John 15:19) and also that we will not be harmed when we go through adversities likened to “water” or “fire” (Isaiah 43:2) because God is with us.

In addition, the psalmist testifies of what is the entitlement of all who belong to God:

“Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. (Psalms 138:7 ESV)”.

The seasons of life are forever changing as the times in a day and climatic seasons. When evening came, Jesus said to his disciples “Let us pass over unto the other side”(Mark 4:35 KJV)”.

The crossing over to the other side in the above verse by God’s decree was not in the morning nor the afternoon but in the evening. The evening was the appointed time for the miraculous!

Each of us has seasonal miraculous times in life and our ability to attain our miracles from God depends on whether we will decide to “pass over to the other side” with Christ. Will we allow him to lead us in the power of the Holy Spirit to where he wants us to be physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally?

When we are in Christ, the “other side” is a place of provision, opposite to the place of lack. The “other side” is a place of peace opposite to the place of turmoil. Praise God that when we abide in Christ no adverse situation in life is permanent!

In the transitional period to the “other side” of God’s blessed promises we are often tested; Will we forget Christ is in our “boat” of life and start panicking? When he appears to be “asleep” or not present, do we tend to doubt him and like his disciples cry out “..do you not care that we are perishing?”(Mark 4:38 ESV).

Remember Jesus said “us” when he said to the disciples “Let us pass over to the other side” (Mark 4:35 KJV). He will not send us anywhere, where he is not willing to go with us. Jesus Chris is Emmanuel (meaning God with us) (Matt.1:23).

Brethren, this is why Christ, not wanting to leave his disciples as orphans following his ascension, prayed to Father for the Spirit also known as Comforter to abide with us forever” (John 14:16).

The Holy Spirit within a believer in Christ ensures adverse situations are not permanent because the Spirit is the same that rose Christ from the dead and gives us the powerful life of God in their mortal bodies (Romans 8:11).

The Holy Spirit indeed testifies of Jesus Christ (John 15:26) who said

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11:25 ESV).

Precious saints, let us give thanks and praise to God that because Emmanuel lives we live in the seasonal realm of the “pass over”.

“Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (Psalm 30:5 NLT) Hallelujah!

Happiness is knowing… Our times are in His Hands.

Praise God that “My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.”(Psalm 31:15 KJV).

God knows the times and seasons for everything under the sun and He therefore has a reason for everything that happens to us. Brethren, God will not allow us to suffer more than we can bear.

The Psalmist (Psa.31:15) knew that God was in control and He could trust Him with regards to every situation including delivering him from his enemies and those that persecute him.

Whatever you may be facing or going through, God has gone ahead of you for He knew it would happen anyway. He has a strategy to deliver and restore whatever has been withheld or lost due to evil schemes. He says He will never leave you nor forsake you and that is a fact. Rest assured, God Almighty has a plan that He is outworking, trust Him and it will come to pass.

“11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”(Jer.29:11 KJV).

Happiness is knowing…God Brings Peace

Happiness is indeed knowing that God brings peace. Receive God’s Peace like a River in and through you!
I pray for God’s peace to flow in a never ending manner like a river that forms tributaries into the recesses of your soul (mind, intellect and emotions) so that you would experience a perpetual Sabbath rest of the LORD.

In this place, you will receive revelation from the LORD directly and through His Word so that out of you shall flow rivers of living waters quenching the spiritual thirst of dry souls and hearts making a people ready for the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

There is no peace like God’s peace. Attempts at world peace without God as the source is just a charade and superficial for sooner or later confusion and chaos sets in. This is why Jesus explicitly distinguished his peace from that of the world when he said such comforting words

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27KJV)

As a believer in Christ you have His mind which means your mind or thoughts are focused on God. You therefore have access to God’s peace (Is.26:3) which is perfect.

God speaks His peace in every situation of your life, however He requires that you do not “again turn to folly” (Ps 85:8).

To live a life in God’s perpetual peace, He wants you to know that you need to be determined to overcome anxiety. How? Prayer to God concerning all things (Phil 4:6), while praying be thankful of what you have already received from Him.

If you can’t think of anything in a moment how about your life? Your caring child, spouse, family or your job ? Also trust Him once you have prayed. It is only after you have done this that

“…the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”(Phil 4:7)

God of Peace be with you!

✝ Poem – Receive the Master’s Peace

Be anxious for nought and pray for what you ought. God’s peace will unfold as a treat,if a slave to worry you are not.

Peace like a barging river, shall knock down fortes of deceit in your heart to cause the enemy to retreat.

Peace like a fighter plane shall land on the combat fields of your soul to dethrone the Prince of this World, end the cycle of disorder to commence divine order.

A peace foreign to this world in chaos because it knows not it’s Master and his ethos.

Who is it’s Master?

He is the Prince of Peace who saith to his own “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you”.

On a mount he sat and taught

“blessed are the peacemakers they shall be called children of God” So be blessed, not stressed.

Do not retaliate but demonstrate his love to haters.

Trade anger with prayer for users and live to unite dividers. With your mates create colonies in a bond of peace and be the harmonies to iron out melodious creases.

Blessed vessel of peace, wrestle for the increase of God’s government and peace to have no end.

(Isaiah 9:6-7, Phil 4:6-7 Matt.5:43-48, John 14:27)

Happiness is knowing …

I am reminded with comfort and joy of these words of assurance of Jesus to his disciples
“1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:1-2 KJV).

It is also comforting to know that Christ is still working for us in his position as one seated at the Right Hand of Father God; He is making intercession in regards to that which concerns you and I.
He never stops being interested in us or caring about our concerns this is because Yeshua, our Christ is God and that is God’s nature. He is El Shaddai, our sufficiency or “a more than enough God” as some of us like to state.

David, who became the king of Israel was so amazed and touched by God’s absolute interest in him and humanity in general that He formulated psalms about it, such as Psalm 8 and 139. David said
“4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? (Psalm 8:4 KJV).

David also said to the Most High God “8If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there].” (Psalm 139:8 KJV).

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians “4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman…” (Gal.4:4 KJV)
Likewise in God’s perfect timing, His Son, Christ died, was buried and rose again. All of this was so that we would be saved, die to self and rise in newness of life and be reconciled to God (Gal 3:13-14/John 11:25).
Then a time came for Christ’s ascension but not before he promise his disciples that they should wait in Jerusalem for the time when they will be baptised with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-5).
Brethren, we praise God that there is a blessed timing for every thing !! As with Christ so with us! Does that not give you joy, knowing that everything is determined and has a set time by He who is in control and concerned about every aspect of your life and mine?
Most of us can remember when we were in the kingdom of darkness abounding in sin and how when “the fullness of the time was come” we were saved! Glory be to God that He sovereignly brought us into the sheepfold under the tender care and guidance of the Good Shepherd our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

There is another set time that true believers in Christ await with excitement and anticipation; Christ’s Second Coming in the clouds as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. May we be ready for that time!

This poem celebrates this great event and what it’s sound would be like:

Maranatha! (Come Lord Jesus)

The sound from Heaven is as the roar of rushing waters. The voice of God as the noise of the harp. In reverence, people listen.
The sound of thunder is as a harsh voice a rebuke, beckoning lightening and floods of rain, fearful people shut their ears and take cover.
The sound of rain awaited in a tropical terrain, whether harsh or soft is as sweet melodies. Joyful people lend their ears, for they longed for it’s coming.
The sound of the Messiah when he comes in the clouds, will be heard, a longing fulfilled.
The sound, whether as rushing waters, thunder or awaited rain, harsh or soft is a triviality of no avail, for the gravity of his Coming is in the most blessed detail.

The sound of the Bride in her choral chants and intercession, is heard day and night. And with the Spirit says “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life…”…Amen Even so, comes, Lord Jesus! 1”

Happiness is knowing… Faith in the unseen combined with praying in the Spirit guarantees answers (Romans 8:24-26)

The whole of creation groans and travails, including us, the “first fruit of the Spirit” awaiting the glorious manifestation of the children of God (Romans 8:18-23 KJV). Many are waiting for the coming of the Messiah.

Saints or believers in Christ are living to please Elohim God by forsaking all to live according to His plans and purposes as well as partake of evangelism and discipleship in preparation for Jesus’ Second Coming. In different areas of our lives we are waiting and hoping for one thing or another to happen.

The Apostle Paul wrote “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, [then] do we with patience wait for [it].”(Romans 8:24-25).

Hope that is seen is not hope! Indeed! If we have hope in something we cannot see this means we have faith in God for it and so “with patience wait for it”

The writer of the biblical book of Hebrews states “…faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Heb. 11:1 KJV).

As a believer in Christ Yeshua (Jesus), you are trusting God that whatever you are waiting for will come to pass. You do not see it, but you have faith for it.

Brethren, it is worth noting that the Apostle Paul ties the whole discourse about having hope in what we cannot see and waiting for it in patience with prayer. He connects verses 24 and 25 with verse 26, by starting verse 26 with “Likewise”. Verse 26:

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

We activate our faith in God by praying to God about what we believe will happen. Let us remember that we cannot pray apart from the Holy Spirit. Praying God’s will, as opposed to our own results in prayers being answered. When we are hopeful for something we cannot see, inevitably we desire to have more information about it.

In Romans 8:26 we are clearly encouraged to take comfort in the fact that the Holy Spirit indwelling us is working for us.

Here is the truth;

-not everything that we desire or hope for is God’s desire for us,

-God may have given us a desire personally or we could have it based on a prophetic word. We have no way of knowing within the confines of our limited human ability how God intends to bring to pass His Word or inspired desire.

-we do not know what God’s timing is to fulfil what we are waiting for.

The Spirit of Elohim, Holy Spirit knows all that we do not know or we are unable to perceive or “see” in our minds eye about God’s will, plans and purposes concerning something we are anticipating or hoping for. This is because the Holy Spirit knows the mind and will of God and imparts His wisdom (1 Corinth. 2) to us, born again believers in Christ, when we commune with him in prayer.

If only we would commune or have fellowship with the Holy Spirit more! For if we do, we can rest assured that the Holy Spirit indwelling us, as scripture states (Romans 8:26) will stand in the gap or make intercession for us so that we will be enlightened about what to pray and how to pray.

By the Holy Spirit, we have more wisdom, knowledge and understanding concerning things happening around us and those to come. If we fellowship with the Holy Spirit, we are likely to know whether our hopes and desires however sincere are truly God inspired. We are given revelation about precisely what to focus on as genuine plans of God for us and can be confident as we pray about them. We are therefore delivered from false hopes and time wasting as well as distraction and led to effectively pursue God’s agenda for our lives.

In addition, the Holy Spirit graciously helps us to surrender all to God if we respond to his conviction and teaching. Therefore “letting go and letting God” have His way by faith results in the glory of God manifesting in and through us even as we partner with Him for the full manifestation of what we are seeking from Him in prayer.

Brethren let us always remember that God is not only interested in answering our prayers and imparting knowledge about what we ought to hope for or pray that is actually God’s will, He desires a relationship with us. Therefore the fact that as born again believers we have within us the attitude of anticipation, hope or faith in things to come is God given.

As we wait on God for our prayers to be answered, God’s desire is that we would not only pray in the Spirit but also stay close to him intimately through His Word.

Regular prayer is a spiritual exercise that takes us into deeper realms in God or into the secret place of intimacy with Him where we know Him on a deeper level.

After all, our ultimate happiness in life is knowing Him who created us and then redeemed us through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We give Almighty God Praise!
