Maranatha! (Come Lord, Jesus!)

The sound from Heaven

is as the roar of rushing waters.

The voice of God as the noise

of the harp.

In reverence,

people listen.

The sound of thunder

is as a harsh voice

a rebuke,

beckoning lightening

and floods of rain,

fearful people shut their ears

and take cover.

The sound of rain awaited

in a tropical terrain,

whether harsh

or soft

is as sweet melodies.

Joyful people lend their ears,

for they longed for

it’s coming.

The sound of the Messiah

when he comes in the clouds,

will be heard,

a longing fulfilled.

The sound,

whether as rushing waters,

thunder or awaited rain,

harsh or soft

is a triviality

of no avail,

for the gravity of

his Coming is

in the most blessed detail.

The sound of the Bride

in her choral chants

and intercession,

is heard day and night.

And with the Spirit says

“Come.” Let anyone who hears this say,

“Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come.

Let anyone who desires drink freely

from the water of life…

“…Amen Even so, come, Lord Jesus! ”

Happiness is knowing …

I am reminded with comfort and joy of these words of assurance of Jesus to his disciples
“1Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:1-2 KJV).

It is also comforting to know that Christ is still working for us in his position as one seated at the Right Hand of Father God; He is making intercession in regards to that which concerns you and I.
He never stops being interested in us or caring about our concerns this is because Yeshua, our Christ is God and that is God’s nature. He is El Shaddai, our sufficiency or “a more than enough God” as some of us like to state.

David, who became the king of Israel was so amazed and touched by God’s absolute interest in him and humanity in general that He formulated psalms about it, such as Psalm 8 and 139. David said
“4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? (Psalm 8:4 KJV).

David also said to the Most High God “8If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there].” (Psalm 139:8 KJV).

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Galatians “4But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman…” (Gal.4:4 KJV)
Likewise in God’s perfect timing, His Son, Christ died, was buried and rose again. All of this was so that we would be saved, die to self and rise in newness of life and be reconciled to God (Gal 3:13-14/John 11:25).
Then a time came for Christ’s ascension but not before he promise his disciples that they should wait in Jerusalem for the time when they will be baptised with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:4-5).
Brethren, we praise God that there is a blessed timing for every thing !! As with Christ so with us! Does that not give you joy, knowing that everything is determined and has a set time by He who is in control and concerned about every aspect of your life and mine?
Most of us can remember when we were in the kingdom of darkness abounding in sin and how when “the fullness of the time was come” we were saved! Glory be to God that He sovereignly brought us into the sheepfold under the tender care and guidance of the Good Shepherd our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

There is another set time that true believers in Christ await with excitement and anticipation; Christ’s Second Coming in the clouds as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. May we be ready for that time!

This poem celebrates this great event and what it’s sound would be like:

The Weekly “Happiness is knowing… ” Series are brief scriptural based devotionals on a specific topic to encourage and uplift the reader.

The Day of the Lord is upon us! Are we ready for when the King of Kings & Lord of Lords comes?

A great day is upon us, THE DAY OF THE LORD”

The day described in Isa 2:6-22 (see below for verses) when God will be exalted and every high thing will be cast down, idolatrous men will be enlightened and throw away their idols, and have a fear of the Lord; “flee to caves …and holes in the ground from the dread of the Lord and the splendour of his majesty, when he rises to shake the earth.” (Isa.2:19).
That “Day of the Lord” is not just one day, it is a series of events that will affirm the end is nigh, it is a declaration of “Babylon is fallen” and Matthew 24 end of the age events.

Brethren, we are living in the “thick” of “the Day of the Lord” now… The Coming of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is very near!
“Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?” (Isa. 2:22).

Are we trusting in man or God? Are we ready for when Christ comes? Are we preparing the Saints to be ready? Time for us to examine our hearts before God seriously.
The Day of the Lord (Isa. 2:6-22KJV)
6Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and [are] soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

7Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither [is there any] end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither [is there any] end of their chariots:
8Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

9And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.

10Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

11The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

12For the day of the LORD of hosts [shall be] upon every [one that is] proud and lofty, and upon every [one that is] lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

13And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, [that are] high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

14And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills [that are] lifted up,

15And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

16And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

18And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

20In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made [each one] for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

22Cease ye from man, whose breath [is] in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

BRETHREN, THE HEAT IS ON!! IN THIS FINAL HOUR BEFORE JESUS COMES ARE WE READY?

LET US BE READY & BE EQUIPPED TO
PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD!
Exposure of sins/flaws and persecution is the order of the day in this era; Can you stand the heat or do you want to flee from the “kitchen” or “furnace” of God’s strategies for transformation to be a spotless bride prepared for the bridegroom when he comes?
Amen! Graham Cooke’s quote on a picture on Instagram is “when God points to a deficiency in your life, He is introducing you to your next miracle” really resonates with the teaching I posted PLAIN SPEAKING & COUNSEL: Seeking sustained “Apple of God’s eye” victorious Christian living?Use the Primary Davidic Key ; about our need to use the “Primary Davidic key” when we go through trials for Victorious Christian living. This key is the mindset and attitude of being quick to self-examine and ready to repent.
Also I posted the teaching before church where unknown to me prior yo going, there was a visit from a woman who works with Open Doors a charity that supports through mission work and prayer the persecuted church. Pastor highlighted and taught from “Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for their’s is the kingdom of heaven.”(Matthew 5:10 KJV)
We watched a video of Open Doors building a trauma centre in Northern Nigeria for families whose children were abductees by Boko Haram and the few returnees. Also Pastors were interviewed in a region where 2,500 Christians have been killed since 2015 and churches have been burned down weekly. This killing and burning of churches is still going on. The Pastors were defiant and refused to renounce their faith in God through our LORD Jesus Christ, one spoke for all of them when he said quoted the following scripture “5Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
This is the intense era when the heat is on for God to highlight flaws in believers’ hearts/lives and also persecution taking place on a grand scale which is all intended to draw us closer to God.
It is the intense time when God is allowing things to happen for us to make a clear choice: choose this day who you will serve! The separation of the goats and sheep (Matthew 25) as it were before Jesus comes and actually does it, he is giving us a chance to be ready for his coming: As the 5 virgins whose lamps were full of oil, anticipating wisely that the bridegroom will come at anytime, are we living that way? If not it is not too late brethren – THE HEAT IS ON!! Let’s be ready as much as is humanly possible.
Let us always remember in prayer and in our giving believers all over the world suffering for the sake of the gospel in varying measures. Indeed this is a great time of suffering by the church in many areas of the world as darkness intensifies in fulfillment of prophecy – signs of our LORD Jesus’ coming drawing even nearer.
God bless you! Deborah
