My Restorer, Giver of Fortitude

My Restorer, giver of fortitude, to you I sing this song of gratitude
As an object I was discarded, still I aligned with them though dejected.

Then you came along and composed for me a new song. Love-filled lyrics sweet to my ears awakened my soul, ’til then among the lifeless throng.

My Restorer, giver of fortitude, to you I sing this song of gratitude.
You unlocked the truth of my worth and sang oracles to reveal the miracle of my birth.

With thanksgiving I eat of your goodness and drink from your fountains of joy. With gladness I enter your gates of renewal, far away from the dungeons of those that destroy.

My Restorer, giver of fortitude, to you I sing this song of gratitude.

Poem: My Restorer, Giver of Fortitude

Psalm 59:16-17

16: But I will sing your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; For you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

17:O my strength, I will sing to you: you, O God, are my fortress, my loving God.

Eagle’s Wings

eagle

As you wait on our precious LORD remember this:

Those that wait upon The LORD shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not be weary and walk and not grow faint.
(Isaiah 40:31)

The LORD is saying to you that He will respond when you wait upon Him and you will be

1.Energises by His Holy Spirit able to soar into greater heights and deeper depths in God!
I saw written somewhere the following “an eagle uses the storms to reach unimaginable heights..Let us also use the storms of our lives to reach greater heights spiritually”

Therefore whether we are in a time of peace and just needing some encouragement or refreshing (i.e from tiredness) or in serious problems “storms”, as long as we wait on the LORD or remain abiding in Him, our inner man will be strengthened and uplifted. Waiting on the LORD is therefore abiding in Him.

This means that we do not focus on the greatness of the problem or how low we might be feel, but on God who can change the situation and how we feel. We abide by engaging in bible study and praise to encourage ourselves in the Lord.
Personally I deliberately listen to testimonies of how God has changed people’s lives or circumstances. This has gone a long way to taking my eyes of my worries or problems and fixed them on Jesus.

When King David was going through all his struggles, one thing noteworthy is that he was his own great encourager in the LORD and that is what I say to myself “I have to be my own greatest encourager in the LORD”

2.Blessed exceedingly abundantly more than you can ever ask or think! Blessed in your personal lives and even more blessed because you are a source of blessing for others.

As you wait upon Him through bible meditation and worship what you receive from Him will cause you to be as a permanently TURNED ON TAP with an unending flow of the river of His anointing “life” blessing and healing individuals, communities and nations.

This is because, sisters and brothers, the power of the Word of God and praise within you, which served to encourage and so uplift you cannot be contained!

Jesus said “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38 KJV)

Many people say they believe in Jesus and some might well do and so be filled with the Holy Spirit but they are still in a spiritual desert, why ? Because that belief is not being exercised to the point of transforming them by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit only responds when we call on God through Jesus Christ or when we seek hIm for fellowship. If Christians are not in fellowship with the Holy Spirit and so not “soaring” for their own sakes, how can they be God’s lifeline for others?

I say:
1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.2For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.4Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at [thy] side.
5Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.(Isaiah 60:1-5)

“Arise & Shine, Blessed one”!

“Then spake Jesus ..saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”(John 8:12)

As you wait upon the LORD also be reminded the powers of darkness tremble and flee because they cannot withstand the Light of God within and around you.

Therefore soar to greater heights and deeper depths in Him.

TO DO EXPLOITS: KNOW YOUR GOD & BE STRONG IN HIM

Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32b)… My brethren be strong in The Lord and in the power of His might” (Eph. 6:10)

To be and remain strong in The Lord and in the power of His might (mature overcomer Christians) let us be reminded of two fundamental keys, we must

  1. Study and meditate on His Word, the Bible; This is the Old and New Testament. The Old Testament points to the New, therein we see Christ Yeshua.
  2. Fellowship with Holy Spirit, the power of God & as the Spirit of prophecy testifies of Yeshua. He is a teacher and revealer of the will/Wisdom of God and reminder of Yeshua’s teachings. By Holy Spirit we attain the nature of God/Yeshua; fruit and gifts of the Spirit and therefore empowered to resist and overcome satan.

BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND DO EXPLOITS FOR HIM!!!

In His Strength

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
(Phil 4:13 NLT)

We often quote this verse but if we spent time to meditate on it, we will realise how powerful it is and we would declare it with much more conviction. We know that if we depend on Christ to help or guide us in whatever we do, then this means that we do not do it without his strength.

As believers in Jesus, the Holy Spirit dwells within us and this means the unmatchable power of Almighty God is enabling us to live supernaturally natural lives. This is God’s strengths, enabling us to believe that what is impossible for us is possible for God and what we have lost, He is able to restore and bless us exceeding above more than we can ask God or think. We are strengthened in our faith to believe him for miracles not just for ourselves but also for others. When we live in partnership with God in the Spirit, we remain empowered or strengthened, able to gain supernatural knowledge or revelation of God’s wisdom.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Eph. 3:20 NLT).

As we know, we serve a God of relationship and therefore whatever we desire Him to do for us, He desires to do it with us whenever it is possible, teaching and healing us in the process where necessary.

Romans 8:11 also comes to mind:“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” (NLT).

Having the life of God as well as actively partnering with Him in obedience, it is inevitable that we develop the knowledge of God’s nature and what He requires from us. This knowledge strengthens us, so that we can do exploits (Daniel 11:32) to the glory of His name.

There is nothing you cannot do,
if God is the author of it
and approves of it.
So go do it!
