Tell the Story of how God gave His Gift to be unwrapped for His glory.
The Gift of the Son of God born unto us, Son of man given unto us so that every day is Christmas for some man, woman and child who unwraps the gift of God
Men who unwrap to be un-trapped to become wrapped in God’s glory.
Thank you God for the story of Jesus who gave gifts to men. The gifts of callings, the Holy Spirit so that every day is Christmas for some man, woman and child who unwraps the Gift of God We praise God for men who are sorry, And released from worry to become His Glorious Story.
GOD’S GIFT : KING OF THE JEWS 1Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him…. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. (Matt.2:1,2,10-11 KJV) You are blessed, determine to stay blessed! Deborah Esther
Knowing him is the greatest thing that happened to us, his Saints we will always be. When Christ our Saviour was born, the light in our lives, God planned to turn on. No more slaves to sin are we, but now among the chosen few. God in Christ is faithful it is true, always ready for men to renew.
As friends of Christ his mysteries to us he imparts, not only for us to flourish and grow fat, but that we will with zeal, the gospel to impart. To seal many in Christ and soften hardened hearts.
Scriptural Inspiration: John 14:1-5, John 14:11-14, Isaiah 9:6, John 15:-14-16
“1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not…” (John 14:1-5 KJV)
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6 KJV)
“11He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (John 14:11-14 KJV)
Christ has already paid the ultimate price! We are more than conquerors through him who loves us (Romans 8:37). There is no need to despair, but to trust him!
As a believer in Christ, God says to you as He said to Israel “I have loved you with an everlasting love and with loving kindness I have drawn you to me” (Jer 31:3).
Are you going through anything now? Sometimes our afflictions seem endless, but as God spoke through the prophet Isaiah to comfort Jerusalem, his precious city, so too I bring this word of comfort to you, His precious one “your
“…warfare is accomplished,..iniquity is pardoned…Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see [it] together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it].” (Isaiah 40:2,4,5 KJV).
Yes, the afflictions of a believer are only temporarily and God intends for His glory to be revealed in our lives, so indeed if we suffer there is an ultimate purpose for the glory of God.
When Jesus said on the CROSS “it is finished” (John 19:30) that is exactly what he meant! When he died for our sins and rose again the third day, our warfare was declared over.
We only need to take hold of this truth and keep it at the forefront of our minds. We need not fret as long as we live in obedience to God’s Word.
This is because God will always thwart the plans of the enemy, counteract the will of Satan and work all things out for our GOOD! (Psalm 33:10-12/Romans 8:28) To God be the glory great things He has done!!
There are a people whose frustrations flip flop into praise. Their tears become cascades of overflowing joy.
Their words once cutting and ice cold causing shivers down the spine, now like a warm bath, inviting and soothing.
Their lifestyles read like verses bearing witness to their Master, the Anointed Saviour.
They are more than conquerors through him who loves them, the Redeemer and Lord of the Armies of Heaven.
Onward they march triumphant, generals of the LORD’s army.Clad in armours of divine strength and gifted with the know how of the Master, they advance towards battlefields.
Victory is their battle cry, as they wave flags of redemption, freeing captives, disarming enemies and taking territories.
I woke up one morning thinking “Jesus mends nets”. I remembered that Jesus called James and John at the time when they were with their father in their fishing boat mending their nets (Math.4:21).Jesus’ purpose was to “mend” their lives by making them his disciples so that they would in turn “mend” other people’s lives, by becoming fishers of men. He is continuing God the Father’s “Mending Nets” business today through the power of the Holy Spirit in all the earth and at work within born again believers.
What do “nets” symbolically mean here? Our capabilities, mindsets, attitudes and emotions that have been afflicted or tattered by the enemy, whether before we become Christians or even during our Christian walk. This could have been either at home, school, church or work.
Some of these afflictions are from childhood through to adulthood because of what people did to us, also how we responded as well as what we were taught which has influenced our way of thinking, attitudes and understanding. Jesus came to do what he saw the Father doing or what God gave him the authority to do. His “mending nets” business is clearly expressed and summarised in Isaiah 61:1-3:
“1The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. 2He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. 3To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory. “(NLT)..
Such people, having been “mended” will be called in service as “menders” or rebuilders. As Jesus, their destinies are also expressed as follows: Isaiah 61:4: 4They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations. (NLT).
Another scripture that comes to mind is Acts 10:38 “And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (NLT).
In addition to healing the sick, the “Good” is all that Father God told Jesus to do in order to “mend” lives such as teachings (i.e perfecting the Law of Moses, how to pray), deliverance of the demon possessed and spending time with society’s rejects so that they know they are loved and valued. Jesus’ “mending” (restoring or rebuilding) business as we know is necessary for us to be saved and then grow to maturity as children of God, thus capable of fulfilling our God given identities and destinies. We each have a part to play in the Body of Christ and the world at large. Some people have found their God given purpose in life, some are on the way to doing so and others don’t have a clue. There are also those who think they do one day, but then they are not sure the next day!
Whatever category you fall into, know that God is at work in you however it may feel like or appear, to take you to even greater depths in your relationship with Him than you are experiencing right now. I sense God wants you to know that as long as you stay in His Word through study and obedience daily, you will receive all that He has for you and will fulfil your God given purpose. He will abide with you as you abide with Him (John 14:21,23).
The heavenly portals of revelation knowledge, wisdom and understanding will be open to you because of your obedience and faithfulness. This is my encouragement to you as I do to myself, that you would live a life of worship, singing praises unto God in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Pray fervently for all things at all times, always be determined to trust God giving thanks regardless of the circumstance and do all you can to live at peace with others, loving them as God loves you.
From experience, I know forgiveness is difficult, but if you are struggling be honest before God about the pain you have suffered and tell Him how you are finding it difficult to forgive but because you desire to obey His command that you forgive you choose to do so and ask for His supernatural power to enable this desire to be a reality. Nothing is impossible for our God, Having “mended” us through salvation and raised us up, God is always on the look out for tears to our “nets”, the sooner we allow Him to mend then the better because the effective fulfilment of our mission is dependant on our wholeness.
We are honoured to be saved by Grace through faith not by works!
Be reminded today that it is God’s unmerited favour that rests upon you as a new covenant believer in Christ.
You were predestined and your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. You and I did absolutely nothing for our salvation except.
Confession and belief in our hearts of Yeshua was the only exchanged for this eternal gift of salvation from God our Father. What an honour!
Father help us to live our lives glorifying you daily in our speech and actions and never for one moment taking for granted your free gift of salvation in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Thank you that you are my resurrection and life, Yeshua.
Thank you that you died and rose again that I might have abundant and eternal life.
Thank you for your broken body and shed blood because you live, I live forever more.
Thank you that you put the fact that you are God aside and came as sinful man though without sin, so that through death, you would destroy him who has the power of death, the devil and release those who are subject to the devil through infirmity and affliction.
Thank you for being a “merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people”
Thank you, Yeshua!
Scriptural Inspiration: John 11:25, Hebrews 2, John 10:10
At the Passover table for the sake of his remembrance, Jesus commanded his disciples saying eat the bread; “…my body which is broken for you”, drink the wine; “…the new testament in my blood:”
At the Passover table, I, his disciple obey his command: my eating of the bread, his body is the crushing of my enemy, my drinking of the wine, his blood is the draining away of my sin.
In Jesus, the Passover Lamb, I pass over from death to life for the curse is broken, and death is forsaken.
At the Passover table, eating, I no more hunger for worldliness. Drinking, I no more thirst for sinfulness. For in the Pass Over, I have resurrection life.
25Jesus said… “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. 26Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25 WEB)
