My Restorer, Giver of Fortitude

My Restorer, giver of fortitude, to you I sing this song of gratitude
As an object I was discarded, still I aligned with them though dejected.

Then you came along and composed for me a new song. Love-filled lyrics sweet to my ears awakened my soul, ’til then among the lifeless throng.

My Restorer, giver of fortitude, to you I sing this song of gratitude.
You unlocked the truth of my worth and sang oracles to reveal the miracle of my birth.

With thanksgiving I eat of your goodness and drink from your fountains of joy. With gladness I enter your gates of renewal, far away from the dungeons of those that destroy.

My Restorer, giver of fortitude, to you I sing this song of gratitude.

Praise Wednesday

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

When my soul was graveyard’s fashionista and made her bed in hell, you turned my mourning into dancing.

When I was chained, groping for this and that, sniffing for crumbs to survive, you made a way in the wilderness.

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

When I was drowning in my sorrows, you parted the river so I could walk through it.

When I was choking on my fears, you gave me living waters to drink.

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

When I was lost, you came to my rescue.

Now I drink from the well of salvation.

Hallelujah!

Hallelujah!

All that Glitters is not Gold

(Poetic Stories of redemption (series))

There was a pretty young lass who desired to accomplish much, and set her sights on writing fiction. Befriending achievers she became popular by association.

So called friends, the learned and posh and dimwits with a lot of dosh passed through her life leaving their opinions

and thoughts. “Wow that’s a bestseller!”, “Excellent work get a publisher!” said they full of praise. Her ego was raised and she became full of self praise.

This lass became a spendthrift to fit among the top notch, made regular purchases of new bags with shoes to match. Also dating a rich publisher to her was quite a catch. The lass cared not for old friends, shunned them and laughed at mama’s prayers and tears.

The knock on the door was almost unheard as in unison thunder announced the coming storm. A delivery of newspapers it was, for the day of media reviews of the book had dawned.

Her face beamed with a smile, looking back with delight at her gold trimmed writing world with a sugar daddy for a publisher and top class publicity. The promise of free book signing events she received in a club was to her a seal of his unending love.

Sitting pretty awaiting her man, she began to read review after review…

As lightening struck, her smile cracked and shattered in an instance, tears streamed down as she prayed to awake from the horrible dream.

A dream where she was pinned down by critical words as sharp daggers causing unbearable pain. Her sobs were as the sound of the raindrops and became wails, louder than the hurricane late into the night!
Such was her state, in shock for two days.

Mr lover man, the publisher answered not his phone, nor did he and her uppity friends return her calls. In shame she called her mama who sobbed on the phone and rushed to cradle her baby girl, home alone.

Mama the wise, her tongue uncoiled as a scroll and out came these words:

“Have a vision, run with it but never leave your true self and her backers behind. People in shallow places, pout what they know their peers want to hear, to tease the ear.

To be in the click, they stroke each other’s backs and throw kisses as enticing cats. You were too naive and tame to know my child that with them elevation at all costs for fame is the name of the game.

Mama repeated her words into ears as sink holes and a heart as quick sand, creating in mama’s girl a desire to depart from the old, so that she craved for a new start. Mama prayed, she repented and with bags packed,

homeward bound they drove with mum singing praises at the wheel.

The lass fell asleep and saw a man, then he became the Door and in she went. There a pasture of beauty appeared, full of books and scrolls embedded in the soil “as potatoes ready for the picking…” were her thoughts.

She heard a voice say “Now you know trusting self and the deceiver avail nought and all that glitters is not gold. A repentant heart is my writing board, a place wherein I impart my vision.

The reality you now see, a field of finished works are for an appointed time, my dictates of truth from your hand to bless the world.”

From henceforth I commission you to write in pastures green where a dreamy destiny does become reality.”
Then a pen was placed in her hand, on it was written her name “Jemima” and the words:

“Reverence for God and His True Word are more desirable than Gold”

Scriptures

John 10:9 KJV: “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

Psalm 19:9-14 NLT :

9Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair. 10They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. 11They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them. 12How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart? Cleanse me from these hidden faults.

13Keep your servant from deliberate sins! Don’t let them control me.

Then I will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin. 14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.

Let us Return & Remain! God’s “…Hand is Stretched out Still” (Isa.9:12,21 KJV).

Introduction
We serve a merciful God who said of Himself to Moses:

“The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth…”

Through Christ, God’s abundant grace and mercy towards mankind is evidenced eternally. With this in mind as new Covenant believers we can picture a Father with His outstretched hands ready to receive us back again and again following genuine repentance. He is quick to forgive us our sins and remembers them no more. In this Word of encouragement and a call to repentance and restoration in intimacy with Father, we are reminded by Isaiah of God’s ways in relation to His disobedient people and His expectations of them, applicable now as in biblical times.
Let us Return & Remain! God’s “…Hand is Stretched out Still” (Isa.9:12,21 KJV).

Key scripture: Isaiah 9:8-21

We are living in the extremity of times when God’s people are more self reliant and have turned away from God more than ever before.

As I read Isaiah 9:8-21 theLORD in his rebuke of Ephraim or Israel was showing me that these things are happening now in the church and the land in general to a great extent.

There are people who are saying in “pride and arrogance of heart” (vs 9) that when hard times occur in their lives or things are not going well, they will prevail because they will know what to do in their own strength (vs 10). However God makes it clear that if you say you are His and you think you can prevail without him, then in effect you are building castles in the air or you are in delusion!

Such an attitude constitutes living for oneself and not God and such people will be “devoured with an open mouth” (vs 12) of the enemy as the Lord will allow the enemy to have free reign in their lives. God does not permanently forsake His people now as he never forsook biblical Israel, however he gives them over to the lusts of their flesh or whatever they uphold in preference to God and His ways. God always hopes that his people will change their ways and repent.

Some might snigger at the choice of key scriptures (Isaiah 9:8-21) and exclaim “Oh but this is the Old Testament ! There is grace in Christ”. Indeed but it is not an excuse to keep sinning. God is the same yesterday, today and forever more.

It is true Jesus Christ who brought forth the New Covenant came to perfect the law of Moses (Old Covenant) and the “types” of animal sacrifices and high priests were awaiting His coming, however we serve the same God of the Old Testament who is the one who came in the person of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the incarnate Christ. His personality and requirements in relation to holy living did not change. We are reminded of this many times in the New Testament. A key example is Peter’s quote of who God is and what He requires from His people:

“15But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 17Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives in reverent fear duringyour temporary stay on earth. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers 19but with the preciousblood of Christ, a lamb without blemishor spot. 20He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake…(1 Peter 1:15-20 KJV).

The sixteenth verse of 1 Peter 1 quotes Leviticus 11:45, 19:2, 20:7.

Christ himself says “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father” (John 14:9) and “me and my Father are one” (John 10:30). As believers in Christ, we are positioned as kings and priests unto God (Rev 5:10) with the anointing and authority of the overcomer as King Jesus (Rev 12:10, Rom 8:37, Luke 10:18/19) and with the priestly anointing through him, our Royal High Priest (Psa. 110:4/Heb.6:20) to minister before God for the sake of ourselves and others. In this position, we have the righteousness of Abraham through Christ (2Corinth. 5:21, Romans 4:21-22, Gal 3:13-14).

John in his epistle says “5And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. ” (1 John 3:5-7 KJV).

Therefore our mindset as believers in Christ, New Covenant believers that is, should be as ones who daily cultivate sinless lives through living in obedience to God’s Word. In addition, praying, singing worshipfully unto Him and seeking to hear Him speak strengthens our relationship with God and helps us to live in the spirit so as not to fulfil the lusts of our flesh.

The writer to the Hebrews writes about how during the wilderness journey from Egypt to Canaan (the promised land) some did not enter Canaan or “His rest” due to disobedience. This was what God was rebuking Ephraim for in Isaiah 9:8-12; their disobedience constituting self reliance and separation from God among other things which resulted in them suffering the chaotic consequences.

Not only did God give Ephraim or Israel over to their enemies, he also cut of “head (the leaders and honourable) and tail (prophet that teacheth lies) from Israel” (Vs 14/15), this is because

“the leaders of this people cause [them] to err; and [they that are] led of them [are] destroyed.” (vs 16)

In addition, it states that “..the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one [is] an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly” (vs 17).

The acts of God that unleashes His wrath are described by God through Isaiah as the land burning and going up in smoke as well as being in darkness (vs 18/19). Even people shall be “as the fuel for the fire” (vs 19), in other words used by God in his time of wrath to allow division, contention dissatisfaction and lack.

This is all because God’s people suffer when they choose to disobey him and this suffering sadly escalates as “the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts.” (Isaiah 9:13 KJV).

God spoke clearly of His nature when Moses went up to Mount Sinai to get the 10 commandments.

“Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; 7who keepslovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin;yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourthgenerations.” 8Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship” (Ex.34:6-8).

Moses interceded for the people asking for God to pardon them despite their iniquity and disobedience and God said he was going to make a covenant with them and perform miracles that has never been produced in all the earth and that he will drive out their enemies and give them the land of Canaan (Ex 34:8-11).
Brethren, let us therefore be reminded that although God is a consuming fire (Heb.12:29) and does not tolerate disobedience and He is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth” (Ex 34:6KJV), let us also always remember the abundant grace we have in this New Covenant dispensation through Christ who came to perfect the law of Moses received on
Mount Sinai that was expressed as “the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire,…unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest…” (Heb 12:18 KJV).
If God’s “hand is still upraised” in relation to Israel’s disobedience as repeated by Isaiah twice (Isa.9:12, 21). How much more would He not extend His hand of mercy out to us through Christ?
In our position as “Kings and Priests” of God through Christ, we have access to God intimately. The writer of Hebrews describes this intimate place in God clearly as our coming
“unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” (Hebrews 12: 22-24 KJV).

Let us therefore use every opportunity God has provided us in obedience to His Word to attain and remain in this realm of intimacy with God to fulfill our predestined purpose on earth which includes being his effective vessels of world transformation.

Tears of Repentance for Revival “Rain”

Revival of our churches & nations will come only if believers in Christ relentlessly repent and so seek inner personal revival daily. We, members of Christ hold the key to not only church wide but nation/worldwide revival. May our own lives “house” be in order so that we effectively fulfil the great commission according to the will of God and experience a mighty revival “rain” of God’s Spirit. Amen!!

Watchman, what do you see?

I see…Babylon is fallen, is fallen!

Since coming to the UK over 10 years ago, as the years have passed there has been an increase in prayer, praise/worship gatherings all over the UK, small and large. No doubt this is God’s appointed time (post 2000) of preparation of an outpouring never seen before in the “final hour” before the Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Multitudes of “fire stations” of the Holy Spirit are scattered across the nation. As a “Mother nation” of nations so too this has an influence on races therein and their extended families across the globe.

“4My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.5Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, [and] anoint the shield. 6For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.

7And he saw a chariot [with] a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, [and] a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed: 8And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:9And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, [with] a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.” (Isaiah 21:4-9 KJV).

I see an army of God, great multitudes, not only in the UK but elsewhere contending day and night in holy indignation as warriors for God’s cause armed with His strength, they are His battle axe, watching, on their knees, lying on their faces weeping and lamenting for change, crying for change, a return of holiness and the fear of the LORD in His House, in the land, it’s political arena, government.
They refuse to walk by sight and only see as God sees, fixing the heart and mind on Him through His Word. Full of His Spirit and proclaiming the power in the blood of Jesus, the finished work on Calvary they are God’s end time Army, at their advance demons flee and take cover!

As I watch I see the enemies of God unable to build upon their foundations of old which have either broken or are unable to stay firm due to relentless spiritual warfare of God’s intercessors raised across the land.

The established territorial enclaves of spiritual powers where they taunted God’s people & the nation at large and erected impenetrable (what they thought was as such) barriers are as houses built on sand, unstable or shaky.

Yes, Babylon has fallen in the land, that system of tyranny & control, through its established freemasonry, occultic seat has fallen. That system of prideful affront through its laws and acts against the Most High God.

Proclaim it! Declare it!

I see before the great army of warriors/intercessors, the Lion of the tribe of Judah! The righteous branch, the Lord our righteousness, mighty to save.
What do I see? A long pipe, a sewage pipe it looks like, and out gushes as a torrent of water, multitudes of people, while I hear the shout of the LORD “Let my people go!!”

Mended & Raised up for God’s Glory

image

I woke up this morning thinking “Jesus mends nets”. I remembered that Jesus called James and John at the time when they were with their father in their fishing boat mending their nets (Math.4:21).

Jesus’ purpose was to “mend” their lives by making them his disciples so that they would in turn “mend” other people’s lives, by becoming fishers of men. He is continuing God the Father’s “Mending Nets” business today through the power of the Holy Spirit in all the earth and at work within born again believers.

What do “nets” symbolically mean here? Our capabilities, mindsets, attitudes and emotions that have been afflicted or tattered by the enemy, whether before we become Christians or even during our Christian walk.
This could have been either at home, school, church or work.
Some of these afflictions are from childhood through to adulthood because of what people did to us, also how we responded as well as what we were taught which has influenced our way of thinking, attitudes and understanding.

Jesus came to do what he saw the Father doing or what God gave him the authority to do. His “mending nets” business is clearly expressed and summarised in Isaiah 61:1-3:

1The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. 2He has sent me to tell those who mourn
that the time of the LORD’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.
3To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the LORD has planted for his own glory. (NLT).

Such people, having been “mended” will be called in service as “menders” or rebuilders as Jesus, their destinies are also expressed as follows: Isaiah 61:4
4They will rebuild the ancient ruins,
repairing cities destroyed long ago.
They will revive them,
though they have been deserted for many generations. (NLT).

Another scripture that comes to mind is Acts 10:38
“And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (NLT).

In addition to healing the sick, the “Good” is all that Father God told Jesus to do in order to “mend” lives such as teachings (I.e perfecting the Law of Moses, how to pray), deliverance of the demon possessed and spending time with society’s rejects so that they know they are loved and valued.

Jesus’ “mending” (restoring or rebuilding) business as we know is necessary for us to be saved and then grow to maturity as children of God, thus capable of fulfilling our God given identities and destinies. We each have a part to play in the Body of Christ and the world at large.

Some people have found their God given purpose in life, some are on the way to doing so and others don’t have a clue. There are also those who think they do one day, but then they are not sure the next day!

Whatever category you fall into, know that God is at work in you however it may feel like or appear to take you to even greater depths in your relationship with Him than you are experiencing right now.

I sense God wants you to know that as long as you stay in His Word through study and obedience daily, you will receive all that He has for you and will fulfil your God given purpose. He will abide with you as you abide with Him (John 14:21,23). The heavenly portals of revelation knowledge, wisdom and understanding will be open to you because of your obedience and faithfulness.

This is my encouragement to you as I do to myself, that you would live a life of worship, singing praises unto God in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Pray fervently for all things at all times, always be determined to trust God giving thanks regardless of the circumstance and do all you can to live at peace with others, loving them as God loves you.

From experience, I know forgiveness is difficult, but if you are struggling be honest before God about the pain you have suffered and tell him how you are finding it difficult to forgive but because you desire to obey His command that you forgive you choose to do so and ask for His supernatural power to enable this desire to be a reality. Nothing is impossible for our God,

Having “mended” us through salvation and raised us up, God is always on the look out for tears to our “nets”, the sooner we allow Him to mend then the better because the effective fulfilment of our mission is dependant on our wholeness.

You are blessed, determine to stay blessed.
