The Most High’s Leading & Protection…And the Part We Play

Your Word is a Lamp to my Feet, a Light to my Path (Psalm 119:105 NKJV)

At the beginning of this year, the Most High is reminding us, His children through Yeshua (Jesus) as He did the children of Israel through Joshua:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

He promises to be with us wherever we go, in whatever situation whether perilous or peaceful. In addition, our heavenly Father promises to go ahead of us and be our rear guard in our pursuit of holiness (Isaiah 52:10-12) as this is His predestined plan for our lives.

The children of Israel were told by the Most High to follow closely behind the ark of the Tabernacle, symbolic of His presence, so that they would be led and protected by the Angel of covenant (Exodus 3:8) to where He was taking them because they have never been that way before (Joshua3:4). Likewise, we are to cultivate a lifestyle in His presence daily.

Two key things that our heavenly Father requires of us which guarantee His sustained presence are humility and obedient. Scripture reminds us that our Father “resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” (1 Peter 5:5 NKJV). Regarding obedience, Yeshua says

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him…If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me (John 14:21-23 NJKV).

As we trust our heavenly Father to lead and protect us throughout the year, may we remember that we also have a part to play in our covenant relationship with Him.

Have a happy and blessed New Year!

In Christ,

Deborah

I See Your Face

I see your face ablaze through the darkened window pane of my heart,
full of sorrow and pain.
I see your face aglow emitting rays of hope as I walk on life’s shaky tightrope.

In life’s next phase, you will be there I know,
your face ablaze and aglow as yesterday, today and always.

“We Never Give up” (2 Corinth. 4:16)

Brethren, I want to encourage you today; whatever you are doing for God continue with fervour let no one discourage you. If people don’t appear to respond or take notice, I say God takes notice.
You are planting seeds in the earth and hearts more than you realise; God’s word is “living and powerful” and brings change in the atmosphere and peoples lives for Jesus is the Word, the fruit bearing shoot out of the branch of Jesse/Judah.
Through Christ, he who became a curse for you (Gal 3:13), working in you in the power of the Holy Spirit, you are fulfilling your mandate as according to God’s promise; as Abraham’s seed (Gen. 12:1-3/Gal 3:13-14), therefore a blessing to multitudes.
Continue to be a witness for Christ, a labourer in his vineyard whether through evangelism, preaching, writing, engaging in charitable acts, giving financially to spread the gospel. God sees and your reward in the here and now as well as in eternity is great. Walk by faith and not by sight! Do exploits for God who reigns and lives in you through Christ!

Paul the Apostle spoke of the zeal, steadfastness and perseverance with which he and others engaged in ministry for the sake of the saints, I quote for your encouragement:
“13But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.”14We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.
16That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits aree being renewed every day. 17For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” (2 Corinth. 4:13-18 NLT)
